Mari - what I meant by 'watching' Christian Bale is that I am testing myself to see if it is really Christian I am a likin or if it is a carry over from the EB obession. Did you see the interview a month or so ago (before the Oscars) with Ed Norton on Shootout? Ed said he thinks all goody bags at the award shows should be stopped since all actors - even the ones who do independent films as himself - make such good money that they don't need any more stuff! He thinks the money spent for goody bags should go to charities. Yeah for Ed! I understand a number of hollywood elite were not happy with his comments. Unless I missed it, or it was kept quiet, I don't remember talk of goody bags this year. Hmm...

Oh, I see what you mean about Christian. Well, I absolutely love Eric, but CB is such a magnificent actor. You really cannot ignore his talent. He is in the same league with Edward Norton.
You should watch some more Bale movies so you can appreciate his immense talent and looks too, of course!
No, I didn't hear about what Edward said, but I totally agree with him. In addition to everything else the guy has a strong character.

browneyes, You should rent "Harsh Times". Just came out on dvd. You can see the transformation of character Christian Bale makes from his latest film The Prestige to the character in this film.

mari1 - thanks for telling me that Harsh Times is out on DVD. I will look for it. When I get enthused about a particular actor, I do then want to rent their previous movies. Oh, by the way, today when I came into the forum, I didn't realize that there were categories within categories! My head is spinning
