Pretty cool that you mentioned awhile back that you can see the Northern Lights there.

I would have to go to Alaska to do that... emoticon
One day I will see them!!
Cause my cousin lives there,
but first Brazil then Australia !!

The first photo shows the "Orangerie" (nice castle in the middle of the city) here in Kassel:

Yeah the winters can be bad, but luckily we do have nice, warm summers.
Northern Lights are amazing. Here in the southern Finland we don't see them very often, but in Lapland they can be seen every night...

Great pics Lui !!

It reminds me of Edinburgh, Scotland where the castle is right in the middle of the city !!
I love that city, it's very beautiful there too!

Liz, when you say warm summers...LOL!

Here our summers are 110 degrees farenheit!!
That's 43 Celsius for all of you Europeans!!

My car is German, so I have Celsius temperature gauge in my car...
I've seen it get up to 49 Celsius !!

Sometimes, I feel like I should wear oven mitts just to drive my car in the summer here !!

Well, I haven't gotten around to scanning my own photos so here's some stuff I found:

A. Taal Volcano- we have a weekend house so we're there often. supposed to be the world's lowest and deadliest spewer.

B. Copenhagen- I'm biased but I think it's the cutest little city. Here are a couple of pictures of Nyhavn, which I love. There aren't as many waterways as in Nederland but we have enough running through the city

Great photos!!
I've visited Copenhagen a few times and really like the city!! All the Scandinavian capitals are worth visiting; Reykjavik, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and of course our little Helsinki!!

I feel so guilty that I've driven around Sve/Nge but have never been to Helsinki and it's supposed to be so pretty, especially the lake areas. I have a very good friend from Helsinki and I meant to go this year when I visited family in Koebenhavn, but it'll have to wait till 2005 I guess! emoticon

I never knew what Copenhagen looked like.

I love that pics of the volcano!!
Reminds me of Hawaii a lot.

I have nicer shots of the volcano, I just have to find them. It's quite special because there's an island in a lake inside the Taal volcano which is also in a lake within a larger extinct volcano (now just a "ridge") on an island (Luzon, where Manila is) in the sea. You catch my looong drift. emoticon
