And this is my second town. This city is called Oviedo and my parent's family live there. Oviedo is the capital of Asturias, a region in the north of Spain (There,was born Princess Letizia, the next queen of Spain and of course my daddy!!!)

Yes, the "Herkules" is a mystic momunent in some way. It shows the Greek Half-God Herkules/Herakles, who has a nice view over the city. *g* And the best: he's naked! emoticon

Searching for Athene. :hehe: No, it was the idea of a landgrave in the 17th century to build a stoney emblem for his territory. And if I remember correctly, this landgrave loved the Greek myths ...
But the park around the "Herkules" building is beautiful and the biggest European 'mountain park' ("Bergpark" in German) - don't know the English word. Maybe, you'll see it next year ... emoticon

Yeah, Kassel is a nice city with many parks and monuments. But I fear, only in summer. emoticon So it could be that you will be a bit disappointed, when you visit the city in February or March. emoticon
