posticon Cillian Murphy

..for last weeks I got that strange thing about this brilliant Irish actor^^...

"Cillian Murphy (born May 25, 1976) is an Irish actor noted for his intense, risky performances in diverse roles, as well as his distinctive blue eyes. He got his start on stage in 1996 and first appeared onscreen in 1997, acting in a number of Irish and British film and stage productions throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, but first came to international attention in 2003 as the hero in the post-apocalyptic movie 28 DAYS LATER. A wide range of roles followed, but Murphy's other best known roles are as villains in two 2005 blockbusters: The Scarecrow in BATMAN BEGINS and Jackson Rippner in the thriller RED EYE. Next came his most lauded performance as the transgendered Kitten in BREAKFAST ON PLUTO, for which he received his first IFTA Award and first Golden Globe Award nomination. Murphy's 2006 appearance (2007 in North America) as a 1920s Irish revolutionary in THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY was also widely praised. A resident of London since 2001, Murphy often (though not always) works in or near London and has no desire to move to Hollywood." - taken from: wiki

Re: Cillian Murphy

So is he back as Scarecrow in the next 'Batman?' I always thought Scarecrow was very menancing, even in the animated series, & Cillian played him very creepily well & scary in 'Batman Begins!' Love emoticon the black hair & blue eyes, black Irish all the way! emoticon

..on ucillian.com they wrote:

quote:

According to a spy report sent in to Superhero Hype!, Cillian visited the set of the new Batman film, The Dark Knight, in Chicago yesterday, 20 June. There are photographs at the source (but they're taken from across the street and you can't actually tell if it's Cillian or not, but it does look an awfully lot like whoever it is is wearing the Scarecrow mask) and a video taken from the same place. Here's a bit of what the spy had to say, now let's just hope we can trust him. PLEASE REMEMBER that this is absolutely NOT conclusive evidence:

I hung out below and heard that Cillian [Murphy] was spotted! I tried to find him but didn't. However I did find Chris Nolan. Got his autograph on my BB DVD and a picture with him.

Around 2:30-3ish they returned to the set and started filming 2 gangs fighting with each other. Then I spotted Cillian and they filmed him yelling at the gang. The sound of gunfire blasted and everyone ran for cover. They repeated this over and over again. Here are a few pics of the gangs talking to each other. The people on the right are the Scarecrow gang. The gang on the left... I have no idea? They were all dressed nice so maybe part of the mob?

.and here are picturues:

Oh I loved In The Name Of The Father.......I really like Daniel Day-Lewis too, such a great actor.
Cillian has the lead role in this film right?

Yeah, I liked him Red Eye too, he was so good being bad.

Very nice pic of Cillian, he has beautiful eyes. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I kind of more into the psycho/stalker romantic roles like Gerry Butler in Phantom of The Opera or Ralph Fiennes as Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights. emoticon emoticon
