Yes Atani - Hugh will be hosting the next Oscar Award Show. The producers wanted to bring some class to the show - every year the show looses viewers. They saw Hugh hosting another show & he all of a sudden broke out in song - & put his own words to it. They, the producers, liked the fact that he could ad-lib so easily, and was so funny. They also said they put Hugh in the Cary Grant personna, and that they were getting tired of seeing commedians up on the stage hosting, with their sometimes stupid jokes going on and on for 15 minutes at a time.
I just finished reading an article about it in the Chicago Tribune Arts section.
