Just to show you my credentials...... here is one I got welded earlier. Alot earlier by SmartVWs in Newark.
It's a 1968 1200, originally white but latterly hand painted red, with a matching 007 sign in the back window.
Bought from WASP Engineering in Boston a long time ago for £400 instead of a Type 3 van........A good runner apart from an exploding clutch on the way home to Alford one summer.

Anyhoo stay tuned for improvements as I finally get my a*se out of gear and start putting it back together.. a resto-cal I think... emoticon

Was going to do the early wings and late-ish Bug, but I have strangely always liked the upright headlights, it must be something to do with my childhood.

So will be doing a traditional Cal-Looker I suppose. A healthy nose down stance and a more powerful engine as finances allow. (Doing the reclaiming bank charges thing at the moment emoticon )

Got some decent doors to put on. On the look out for a decent cheap, rust free 1200 bonnet, the edges are going on this one. Front brakes will soon be discs (thanks Phil) instead of drums.
