Found the bumpers!

The chrome one is a bit scabby but straight, I don't know what the blue one is like under the paint.

the blue bumpers are VAG ones and are the black bumpers i.e NO CHROME under the blue paint bought brand new in german some time ago..

I painted blue to match my old beetle ..

take it you got them from rich...

i cut the indicators in the rear bumper..

they were never fitted to any car and have never seen rain ..

so not the best for a resto cal sorry

Thanks for that Chris. The chromed Europas will end up on this one

And the blue ones are destined for this one, although not sure of the colour yetImage

For my '68 I've got some ordinary plain blade bumpers

Can't wait to see the big on the road again. I remember how good it looked when we picked it up. Probabyl when I see it again, in all its glory I'll wish I'd kept it. Did anyone mention that we think the 40odd thousand on the clock was genuine?

I too am a big fan of the german look. So the Big will be kept in the special edition colours it was born in, but will be lowered with 16" alloys. Looking at 944 brakes aswell, but thats a fair way in the future. Got a '68 to Cal-look first emoticon

All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated and well supported in logic and argument than others

Yup, complete with the 1303/Big stripes and lettering. Sort of stock, but not, a resto-german-look sort of thing....

Hoping to get all the Bugs in the barn over Easter. Atleast that'll stop the pikeys asking if I want to scrap "those old cars" every week emoticon
