All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated and well supported in logic and argument than others

we have had one other day on it, last friday. there may be some more all dayers in the new year tim, we'll keep you informed but it's mainly Wednesdays

some of us have had to sacrifice things to do it, what's so important on a Wednesday that you can't get out of?

Re: The JagerBug - Club Racecar

Ok - so last night we did 2 tasks, I carried on with the rear roof section of the bug whilst the rest made a start on glassing the widened seat shells back together (we are not a bunch of lard arses - they were a really narrow pair of seats emoticon )

Seats were jigsawed down the middle, then spaced with ply spacers to set the width
Image

Then Rich and Nick fathered the edges ready to re-join them

Image

Image

Then thin hardboard was used to cover over the gap and give something to keep the mat in place

Image

Meanwhile Graeme & Ash stripped seat number 2 and cut it apart

Image

Then Nick cut some strips of mat to join the two halves with

Image

Before Rich expertly stippled it into place with some resin

Image

Everyone had a go - and eventually the final layer of mat was added by Ash

Image

Next week(after Xmas ) - the hardboard can come off the reverse side & the same process can begin all over again on the back emoticon

Re: The JagerBug - Club Racecar

Meanwhile I was getting the back end of the roof looking like a bug again, the rear window sides were miles out of alignment due to the slice taken out

Image

The sides were first joined up to the swage on both sides so the roof would keep its shape evenly

Image

Then it was time to slice and pull the rear window around to get it to match up nicely

Image

Both sides were cut then welded back up

Image

Fully welded & ready for some grinding

Image

Roughly ground back

Image

Then sanded back with a flap wheel

Image

Looking more correct now - more window shaped but compared to a stock window it looks like a letterbox emoticon

Image

More after Christmas emoticon
