Loving your clean gutters, looks like quality progress today.

What did you use to get right into the gutters? There was a real thin strip I couldn't get at emoticon

Re: The JagerBug - Club Racecar

time to figure out how much to narrow the front beam by

we used this rather dusty looking front beam as it already has chevy 5 stud discs fitted so our centreline wheels will fit on

Image

spot the deliberate mistake? we had to remove the steering box and track rods to fit the beam

Image

now, the whole issue of a narrowed beam. yes, many people narrow their beams for asthetic purposes, however, as the centreline wheels we are using have zero offset, when fitted this is how they sit!

we jacked the wheel up higher to take some measurements

Image

with a straight edge held against the outside of the wheel, as you can see, it protrudes by a good inch and a half!

Image

to ensure the edge of the tyre clears the wing, we're gonna have to take out a good 3" each side

yup, that's right, a 6" narrowed beam

here is the before pic

Image

but the actual narrowing will have to wait, we had other plans for the rest of the day emoticon

after lunch Rich got to work removing the rear quarter, here seperating the panel

Image

as you can see, smiles all the way in team Jagerbug today!

i think Rich was going slightly crazy drilling spot welds and chiseling panels all day

Image

Image

so we had a little break to try out one of the 'widened' bucket seats for comfort emoticon

Image

pleased to say they now fit emoticon

Image

Image
