Got a bit further today - not many pics, but heres a few of the gearbox install - mounts all tacked ready to fully weld once the body comes off again

Split van nosecone removed from the dead box that has been sitting in my dads garden since i changed boxes in my split in 1998 !

Bolted up - look s factory - you would never think the gearbox is an inch higher than stock

Just need to redrill the dimple in the hockey stick in the correct place once we reassemble everyring

Spent the rest of the afternoon welding the inner sections to one side of the roof - you have to chop the inside steelwork to fit with the chop - drivers side now finished, but not very photogenic emoticon

Passengers side tomorrow - had a call from the steel suppliers this afternoon to say our steel was in for the cage so picking it up in the morning emoticon

I was just thinking the buggy box won't fit any more after the mount mods but Alex has pointed out it shouldn't take long to swap the bus nose cone on to it emoticon

Picked up the rollcage tubing this morning - had to take the cover off my pickup as it was in 5.8m lengths !

Carried on with internal welding for the rest of the afternoon - then Paul came over tonight and we finished door 2 off

Looking a lot better once paul had ground them off

Finished all the inner panel work on this side too - and removed the heater pipe

also completed the rear cross member assembly - fitting the first part of the box section frame that will support the aluminium panelling that we will fit once the cage is in place

and finally - cut out the bits of the dash we are removing - tomorrow should hopefully see the dash modded and the final welding (at last !!)
