with the clay mould made it was on with the fibreglass

Image

once this thin layer has dried the clay can be removed, the excess wing cut away then the lip built up with more fibreglass

Image

that's one side done emoticon

Alex then made a start on the drivers side rear wing

Image

it really is just a case of blobbing it on to begin with then carefully moulding and shaping it, needs a skillful eye emoticon

Image

the ply template was pretty close to being bang on so I trial fitted the window rubber and cut it down

Image

we had a go at fitting it into the car but it was a fraction too tight so on Wednesday I'll have to shrink it down a touch

Few pics from saturdays progress

Layer of glassfibre matting covered with a layer of glassfibre tissue to improve the surface

Image

meanwhile the clay on the other side begins to take shape

Image

the passengers side wing edge was trimmed back to form a rough new edge and to allow the clay to be removed

Image

starting to look like a flared wing

Image

More pics soon emoticon

Just got back from collecting the Aluminium for panelling the interior, dropped in at the paintshop to make sure all is in place for NEXT friday - lots of prep work ahead this week & next !!

Got home to another delivery of bits from SSP - Straight cut cam gears, 26mm oil pump, uprated valve gear parts and full flow oiling fittings

a quick taster of this evenings progress, it's late and I really must get to bed emoticon

I arrived to find the Jagerbug looking a bit blotchy! A quick guide coat that would be sanded back for the first of many times

Image

Plenty of filling still to be done on the roof (even more after GT Rich leant on this bit whilst still wet  emoticon )

Image

He wasn't always being a liability emoticon
