I arrived at Alex's house tonight to find a shiny new fibreglass decklid very kindly donated to us by Chris Lovatt

Image

can't thank the guy enough, a very generous donation to the project emoticon

Alex had been shopping and the Jagerbg now has it's own dedicated race toolbox emoticon (no, they were not available in orange  )

Image

a lot of hard prepping has been going on the last couple of nights

we now have a removable rear valance, the rear quarters are held in place by this bar

Image

then it was off with the body again, here's the floorpan outside covered up

Image

and an insane view from below the body

Image

a few more 'to dos' added to the list emoticon

Image

I spent the majority of the evening making a template for the door windows

Alex then knocked up a couple of brackets to attach it

Image

but the fit wasn't quite right so the inside of the lid was cut and pulled together using a ratchet strap, with the curvature correct it could be glassed to hold the new curve

Image

I spent most of the evening getting templates for the lexan, here's the rear screen nearly finished

Image

More cage pics

Image

then it was on to the rear valance - a length of box was welded between the bumper mounts to keep them spaced the correct distance

Image

then the trimmed valance was fitted with stainless fasteners

Image

then Rich dropped in and dropped off the parts that were back from the zinc platers - very shiny emoticon

Image

and Nick got on with cutting the rear window template

Image

And Graeme cleaned the welds down on the inner wings where the cage mounts had burnt through the paint

Image

Nicks rear screen - nearly there !!

Few pics from tonight

Image

Paul getting ready to grind off a few bits we had missed

Image

trying to work around the cage is tricky

Image

But managed it in the end

Image

Meanwhile I tidied up all the loose ends of welding - and welded up the damn aerial hole at last !!

Image

Getting fed up of climbing in and out over the cage now !!

Image

Dash first filled and tach mount welded in place

Decklid now fitted - not perfect but acceptable for a glass fibre panel on a racecar !!
