Tuesday night we made a start on the top end
(assisted by mugs of coffee and Jammie dodgers from mrs B emoticon )

We checked the deck height and then with the help of the JMR engine calculator determined our required cc in the heads to give our planned 9-1 compression ratio

we checked the original chamber capacity with a cc kit

Then put the head in the miller and flycut the deck of the heads level ready to flycut to 94mm

Before cutting them out to 94mm

Meanwhile Paul refitted all the cylinder studs (after cleaning them all emoticon)

Once ported the heads were marked up with engineers blue and the barrel seating area scribed onto the head surface

Heads then had their chambers opened out to suit the barrel size and then valve seats were re-cut

Weds night - Rich made a start on the dash wiring

Managing to get all those damn wires through a small pesky hole emoticon

I was making a new tool to cut the valve guide bosses down to take the dual valve springs

and it worked too !

then I finished cutting valve seats - both heads have had 3 angle cuts and new valves

then the new valves were lapped in

better than the rusty seats we started out with emoticon

then it was time for a good clean ready to be built up to set the valve train geometry and pushrod length

Not a lot of pics from weds I am afraid - we were pretty busy - we also had a visit from Mick (Kerbside Autos) & Craig who delivered our awesome immaculate Dellortos - rebuilt and ready jetted - cant thank you enough - really looking forward to firing them up emoticon
Other jobs got done too - Graeme rebuilt and painted the wiper assembly and Gt rich helped Rich out emoticon

Looking good - the 'Frankenshroud' is nearly done but ran out of welding gas emoticon

I will pick some up first thing monday emoticon
(this will be the 4th bottle of gas we have used on the Jagerbug !! )
