Ok, so before the snow arrives I thought I'd dig in and get some jobs done, just tidying up for now!

Here it is in the light of day...
Image
Image

Took all the indicators off and began tinting: (cheaper than buying clear and Gti 16v rear lamps! emoticon)
Image
Image
Image

To finish off, I took off the black line around the middle of the car, will need a t-cut to finish it off but it looks loads cleaner.
Image

I also removed the rear wiper and spray, will get some rubber gromets to cover the holes... gave it a clean, and hey presto, a far nicer looking mk2.
Image

Image

Next mod, I'm getting onto the coilovers ASAP! And possibly satin black rims in the process... emoticon]

EDIT: Oh, and my side indicators dont work... which is nice. Neither of em, must be wiring somewhere, any heads up would be good!

Well, it's been a busy day, firstly continuing the '7' theme, and replacing a cracked GTi gearknob is a 7 Pool Ball...

Secondly an interior pic...

Thirdly it's slammed! emoticon

I've not set it too low as I've been informed it settles down over time, so it should go a bit lower! emoticon

After working on the car, there are a few bits which are suspect, there is a patch on a sill, and some overspray in places but not really fussed about either of em.

Mechanically it seems sound, engine runs great, no smoke at all, and the brakes are fine all round with plenty on the pads, although they will need changing for the track.

Next jobs:

MOT
Bung up holes from rear wiper/ariel with grommets
280mm vented front discs
strip interior out
buckets in
harnesses in
suitable wider alloys (but no bigger than 15's.

No i was in a megane GT.

We're intending on next year tho.

More done, the car now only has a drivers seat until the buckets arrive, and new rims:

Sanded em down

Primered
Image

Satin Black

and on they go:

and the money shot

and finally Gaz came and took away all of the interior bar the drivers seat, so it is looking pretty stark now! emoticonemoticon Need to get some buckets and get them in. I'll get the rest of the carpet out asap. It's a bit noisey now! :O Panels rattle all over the place.
