posticon Valley Creamery 1963 Panel Van

Pics for all to see

Born 10th May 1963 LHD Single side loading doors, Panel Van deliverd to Portland - Oregon USA.

Is its original colour, fitted with a 1600 single port (B code) still running reduction boxes. Had an engine fire but luckily the owner had an extinguisher to hand before it took hold. Apparently the petrol line from the pump split and sprayed the petrol straight onto the manifolds emoticon

Trying to find out if the 'Valley Creamery' sign writing is original, Ive written a few letters and emails to the USA, will let you know how i get on emoticon

Had fake rust painted onto the bodywork, HONEST FAKE RUST ! which i gently removed today, along with some fake sign writing on the underside of Valley Creamery that had been added not so long ago.

Found a few winter projects when i had a very close inspection of the underside - new complete cab floor - little patch needed in front wheel arch. Engine could do with coming out and a good clean as i found lots of dry powder from the extinguisher in many areas.

The obvious paint repair will be done soon, fingers crossed emoticon

Used the van today now i have fitted the number plates and displaying road tax with my new Jagerbug tax disc holder emoticon

I took 16 bags of garden waste to the local tip and i was amazed how much better it ran and felt on the road with a bit of weight in the back, top speed was reduced to 55 mph but hills were no problem emoticon

Workers at the tidy tip said they we are not keen on signwritten commercial vehicles unloading a lot of waste but we cant recall a Valley Creamery in the area emoticon

Spent the afternoon fitting newly aquired oil temp and oil press gauges plus fittings and twin pod (from Tim '23A' on SSVC website)

Both work perfect, must admit i feel happier traveling longer journeys with the gauges fitted emoticon

Added some pics to my photobucket album,

Finally recieved bus bra which fits great, also fitted a new engine lid sourced by FBI VW, new steering wheel - back end still needs a paint
