separeting sexes?

I have two older 09 birds in my flying box, they turned to be a hen and cоck, and are mated now.I have second empty pen, which i planed to use later to separete birds wnew they get older. But' i do not want to keep just one bird in it, and rest are to young to tell them apart, so should i separete them anyway, or just switch eggs with wooden ones and leave them alone? I don't want to have any baby's now, to late, i guess. Will that "family life" affect their flying ability? They seems to be very busy and always last ones who leave box and first ones who return to it. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

Feed those eggs to your dog and keep flying them unless you need to preserve them for breeders for next year.They won't want to fly with eggs in their box.

yrsloft... why do you say the birds are too young to tell what sex they are?? Use the paper clip on the thread method. It works all the time for me.

yrsloft... Here is what you do. Take a paper clip and tie a 6" piece of sowing thread on to either end of the clip. Hold on to one end of the thread and dangle the paper clip over the bird in question,about 1" above the bird's back,near where the tail feathers come off the body. If the clip swings back and forth...the bird is a cоck. If the paper clip makes small circles the bird is a hen. I've been using this method for years now and it has never failed me yet..
