Good Fly Day It was windy today and I only flew the three 5 month old birds. I lost most of the round before last due to an over-fly on a windy day. That was a hard lesson to learn! These three birds gave the best performance I have witnessed so far. They did some very deep rolls and with tail rides at the end. Several times I had all three doing something at once. There was a lot of crazy flying going on as they would roll on their way up and roll on their way down. They would sometimes hold their wings like they were going to tail ride but they would start spinning like a lazy-Susan. It was so cool to watch. I got some great footage on the video camera. But, somehow I managed to destroy the files when I accidentally ejected the disk. I will try for more video tomorrow.

Re: Good Fly Day The wind has been bad for two or three days here. I always fly my OR's in the wind if it isnt too bad. When the learn to handle it they will face into the wind and do some nice rolling.
Sounds like you have a future comp team in the works.
Re: Good Fly Day Yeah, it was windy today and they put on another good performance. I did get some video but I didn't get many good shots. I really hate I lost the file yesterday. But, you can see the video here.
I moved six of the last round out into the kit box. I probably won't fly them much until the migration is over. But, I want to be sure I have plenty to fly this winter.
My birds appear to have stopped laying. My birms would usually lay until it got really cold. I was hoping for at least one more round. Is anyone in the North Carolina area getting eggs now? Maybe the molt halted their laying for a little while?
