husband whites

The Husband whites fly great. Of course they fly very high and I may never see the one that got loose today as I was cleaning my individual breeding pens. They have had three sets of clear eggs with this pair though. I sent up a kit of Birms I had on eggbid and havent seen them since they all went out of sight. Straight up. So I still retain my crown as "King of Overflies". On a more positive I banded my first squeak out of the other pair.

I got the white cоck back today just at dark. He came in to my white homers. I guess he just wanted to be with white birds. He survived one hawk attack and the night out in the jungle with the lions, tigers, and bears, oh my. He came in and flew with my young bird kit for about ten minutes but wouldnt land on the mobile loft. Cant say the Birms I sent up to rescue the white faired so well. A coop force them to over fly and a few came in late last night. Found a clump of feathers in the yard today.

Got a single flip out of the white today. He also did some fairly deep tail rides today. Got high hopes for this boy.

Update. The white bird has come in to land with the kit two times now and taken back off with a yellow Husband hen. He really puts on a show up there with just that one bird. He only flips occasionally with the kit and mostly just tail rides. But when he is up by himself he flips one or two times every minute or so. Next week two more will join him and I will fly them as a seperate kit. Since I am the one that preaches dont fly the kits together I guess I need to take my own advice huh? In two weeks I will have five whites in the kit box and when ever the other one grows up, six.

Added three more whites to the kit today. They should be flying by next week. I will have a kit of whites to fly then. I have two more sets of eggs out to the other two pair. White breeding is going well now. emoticon My miniature is growing up to be a full sized bird. He is normal now in all respects except he has very funny colored eyes. I have to look really close to see if they are red or some other color. They should turn pretty soon to what ever they will be.
