Fehrholz Whites Here's a pic I took last night of the young Fehrholz whites I have. I am going to pair them up and keep a total of 5 pairs - I already have a pair - and sell the rest. There's 17 in here and one yet in the nest. I will then train and fly out the offspring in all white kits and select my future breeders from there.

Re: Fehrholz Whites They are all bull eyed and will produce the same when bred together. But since they are recessive whites, when bred to non-rec whites, they will produce all non-rec whites that carry the gene for rec white. You then need to breed the carriers either to each other or back to a rec white and you will get a percentage of whites. But rec white bred to rec white will give you 100% rec whites.
I spoke to Carlyle Kelly a couple of days ago and he mentioned he was flying a kit of pearl eyed whites this summer. They are much different in their genotype. The phenotype difference is the eye is pearl, verses bull in the Fehrholz birds. I have only one of his whites.. a hen, I have pictured bellow. I am trying to get a cоck to go with her.

Re: Fehrholz Whites In order for a white to have pearl eye's they have to be grizzle. I had a parlor program once that I started with a bull eyed white parlor mated it to a pearl eyed roller and in 4 generation I had whites with pearl eye's and they were all on the ground as parlors should be. So your white FOR is a grizzle you could use any grizzle cоck and then inbreed the family to set the grizzle, pearl eye's also the white color.
