Hey Michael......I noticed that same color transformation too. Especially in the Almond colors... No matter which family or strain it's in.

I don't believe she's an Almond. She is a Bronze Mottle. Most of the Mottles will molt in more white. Check out the transformation of this bird before and after the molt:

I don't know what her parents were - my log book was destroyed by my puppy. :yikes!:

She really performs though - lots of crazy maneuvers and deep rolls.

I think she is a mottle too. But, I am not good at recognizing the colors & patterns.

You can see a big change in me too after the moult,'specially if I shave my beard! :yikes!:

Yep,bronze mottle. I've got some here. They all whiten up more and more after the molt. I like them as squeaks the best also.
