Vitamins in the water.

Anyone ever use foy's pigeon builder or vitapreen? I'm not using pellets now as I'm getting too much moisture in my loft. Some people I read put it in the water once a week and other use it up to 5 times a week. My birds all seem healthy though. Good mixed feed, water, grit etc. Just thought I'd give the breeders an edge though....

I use probiotics in the water 24/7 and I use Red Cell vitamins and minerals twice per week. I am a huge believer in good probiotics. I have an article on them for the Spring newsletter.

I agree on the probiotics Alan. Myself I take a product called Primal Defense. One of the best selling probiotics in America. Got rid of all my digestive/colon problems that I've had for years...I'll check into those products. My birds seem like they need a boost of something. I have been breeding them kind of hard trying to fill my stock, kits, etc. And they were breeding during real cold weather. Now its starting to get warmer. I went out there a little while ago man the cоck birds were going nuts cooing...

I use a little Herbot's 4 oil(Wheat germ, cod liver, sunflower and garlic oil) and Herbot's BMT(Vitamins B and E and Beer yeast) on the feed a couple times a week. After a little while on that the birds look very healthy and have a nice shine to them.During the breeding season I sprinkle a little of Herbot's Viktus Duif(sea algae) on the feed a few times a week.I use apple cider vinegar in the water just about all the time.I give them raw spinach as a treat now and then, they LOVE it. I ended up ordering Windsmore from Foy's. I only bought a 35 day supply. There are so many things to buy that it was overwhelming to say the least. One thing that I did noticed was almost all the Pigeon supply houses had windsmore. Plus its been around for about 40 years so they must be doing something right. If I dont like it I think I will get the red cell and probiotics like Alan has.

Bruce,
I was disappointed when I got Foy's
Pigeon Builder, it's not just Vitamins
but also contains an antibiotic called
Chlorotetracycline.
I'm not one for flock treating with antibiotics, when giving my birds vitamins. I use Red cell and Probiotics.

Thanks Robert. I did not get the Foy's pigeon builder but a product called Windsmore. I will read the ingrediants carfully if it has antibiotics I will not use it either. Thanks for the heads up.
