Re: portable Kit box That looks great! I hope to try one of those next year. I am still learning how to train. But, I am getting better at it. That would be a great way for me to get away from all the trees in my yard. Let us know how the training goes.
Re: portable Kit box Thanks guys,
Nick I would like to see those pics. As far as training goes, I have only two ORs banded, but I have some young doneks that will give me a chance to try using the box.

Re: portable Kit box Ed,I'm going to his house today and have him upload the pics. There are a couple german websites that show doneks, wutas and dewlaps(all divers) being flown from portable boxes.I'll find the links and post them tonight. One guy doesn't even use a box,he drops his dewlaps to a red blanket. Re: portable Kit box Thanks Nick,
That is a nice box. I am not sure I understand everything I see on that box. It looks like the perch section slides in from the top. Looking forward to seeing the pics of the boxes you made.

Re: portable Kit box Got a pic of one of the boxes a couple of my buddies and I made. One of the guys is going to fly a kit of Danny Horner Birms out of this box. We're working on one for my ORs now,It's going to be a little taller and one more side is going to have dowels. Nick

Re: portable Kit box That looks better than lots of the furniture in my house! You all would laugh if you saw the results of my poor carpentry skills! I am still amazed by how people train birds to use these boxes. One of these days...
