My Husbands. Fehrholz regrets....
My Husbands that decend from the ones I got from Alan are doing great. I bred them into the ones I traded for another bunch of Husbands from my friend Joe..The crosses are doing quite well for sure with some noticable Hybred vigor in them. My new Husbands do not perform or fly any better than the ones I got from Alan. Joe said he likes the Alan birds quite alot and is happy with the results of his matings so far into his family. My bird top gun is in the breeders loft and has given me some good ones so far. Lost my original last two foundation birds from Alan in an overfly last month. Was bummed out about it but I have alot of their sons and daughters breeding and flying so the blood is there. Wishing I did not sell out of my black Fehrholz's I got from Alan. Sharpshooter was right when he said I would probably regret getting rid of them. They were great flyers, rollers and divers etc. Looking to get some more of them and fly seperatly from my Husbands...Dont beleive I gave the Fehrholz's a fair chance to see what they were capable of as I know from talks with others they are having great sucess with them with deep rolling and long flights etc as well as hawk evasion......Live and learn.

Geez Bruce,I'd really hate to say "I told ya",but..... If you have the room,I'd get some Fehrholz to try if you like high flying rollers. I don't know if you saw that I resigned as sec/tres. How about taking the positon? I think you and Alan would work great together.

Re: My Husbands. Fehrholz regrets....
I've already put an order in with Alan Nick. Going to start off with one pair and fly the heck out of their babies then go from there. The blacks I had were excellent birds but not very deep in the roll. But who knows if I would of kept them longer could of had more depth from the young ones. The original parent blacks which were flyers for Dennis were only doing 10 foot rolls at most for me. Far as being secretary/treas I dont beleive I'm up for the challenge right now. Have enough on my plate with my life right now and am comfortable with my life. However I could be made honorary Ambassador of promoting the breed. Promotion would be my area of expertise. Hope all is well with you and your birds Nick...
Bruce.

Good luck with them and give them a chance to turn on before you get rid of them. Dam,another strike out,I can't give the Sec/Tres position away! I hope someone takes it soon,so there is time to change the info in the magazine add and the newsletter.

Re: My Husbands. Fehrholz regrets....
For sure will give them a chance this time around. The one thing I keep reminding myself with For's is they take much longer to develope than say B'hams for example. Some take over a year before you see any depth in the roll. Those blacks I had were also very good at hawk evasion. Not a one lost to hawks. I'm very open minded with other strains and families of For's now that I more understand how to train and fly them..Still learning something new all the time with them though...How are your birds doing this year. How is your hawk...

Re: My Husbands. Fehrholz regrets....
The best thing to do Amir is to buy some and fly them yourself. Or maybe we could make a trade sometime. Are you in Michigan...

Re: My Husbands. Fehrholz regrets....
Like I said Bruce if you can garantie for your birds or anybody with the same idea I will get those strains and fly against any BOP on purpose every day.I really would(joke). But I love pigeons in the first place and would not do that to those strains or any other strain or breed of pigeons.

Re: My Husbands. Fehrholz regrets....
At this point I'm regreting that I ever asked the question about Samir strain of pigeons....Laughing...I think I'm going to stick with my Husbands that I currently have. Also I am going to acquire some Fehrholz from Alan hopefully. Alan is the one I trust the most when it comes to buying pigeons...Hes never let me down yet.
