32 birds seen in one and a half hours!
We enjoyed a very pleasant walk in the meadows between 9.45 and 11.15 on Thursday 12th April, good sunny weather - spring migration has been slow due to north/north easterly winds over the past week or so.
Species seen or heard:
Carrion crows, Jackdaws, Ring-necked Parakeets,Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Robins (very many) Blue tits, Great Tits, Dunnocks, Wrens, Stock Doves, Woodpigeons, Nuthatch (2 territories - good!), Great Spotted Woodpecker, Starlings, Blackbirds, Grey Wagtail, Mute Swan (nesting), Jay, Kestrel, Magpies, Mistle Thrushes, Green Woodpecker, Bullfinch (pair - unusual), Chaffinchs, House Sparrow, Kingfisher, Long-tailed Tits, Moorhen, Coots, Mallards, Tufted Ducks.
Nice also to see blue-bells and wood anemones.
Interested to hear what else is being seen.
