7. AOB, Questions, Suggestions, From the floor to all Committee Members:

~Projects for the Future River, Five Arches Bridge - W&IC will need volunteers to man opening hours. Have the building, need people from our membership and other local groups to run successfully.

~Member Janet Trethewey asked for more details on the W&IC, time scales, what’s happening now - Chair Michael invited Nick Grant to update the meeting and mentioned FFCM involved in NEFG. Nick explained FFCM has a sub-group for the W&IC. Centre started life as changing rooms, Redone with help from Barry Morgan. Centre will be for young people, anyone using the Meadows wanting information. Display panel content being decided at the moment, some of the panels will be hung on the wall (smaller versions than the demonstration Nick showed). Panels will show welcome, history, wildlife, Council info and one will be seasonal. 2 flexible display systems for temporary displays, ideal for presentations by other groups, scouts and schools. Panels have been agreed, style and format agreed. Leaflets under panels will expand on themes displayed. Murial on wall can’t be painted by school children due to health and safety issues but school children will create a design, it will be photographed and a wallpaper made. Schools will use the Centre a lot, also will be used for diarised Council events, FFCM hosted or run events. When open 2 or more people will be needed for a few hours shift, people will be given training so a consistent message is broadcast from the Centre. Projection screen will be in window bay. W&IC will have wow factor!

~What is the security for the building? External gates, security doors and window protection to make it hard to get in.

There is a toilet and there is tea making facilities. Opening and getting volunteers in will be done in phases.

Licensing agreement is crucial for the Centre. W&IC showing to members ideally in October.

Meeting closed with tea, look at photos and chat, finished at 9pm.
