posticon Some Thoughts...

I had a WONDERFUL vacation. Some friends and myself attended a camp meeting in the States and I can truly say that it was the Lord's lovingkindness to allow the circumstances work out so that I could go!! God in his love and mercy, gave me all and more of what I needed. And I definitely NEEDED some things!!

I want to share a small thought that the Lord was gracious to give me during my travels south. We were driving through a portion of the country that was absolutely gorgeous and my heart was somewhat awed at all the beauty and as I was looking about, I asked the Lord to give me a thought to take home from all that I was seeing. And before I had even finished my appeal, He showed me that all this beauty does is cover hell (hell being the core of the earth). And this was a view that I had not ever thought of before but boy it sure got me thinking. As long as the core of our being remains untouched by Christ, all our good and self righteousness and purposed "beauty" is simply covering a little piece of "hell". Anyway..this thought has certainly come home as I have continued to think about it and related it to other things.

I was thankful for the Lord's gracious goodness to me over the last week and for all the light that came.

May God Bless you all,
Naemi emoticon

Hello All,

Well... I am happy. emoticon The week begun with great excitement and joy as Sunday School began for the children last week (the air was absolutely electric) and the week ends with joy. Nothing in particular... just joy. Anyway... I wanted to share something that I read in my devotional this week that I thought was so very true!!!

"Nothing else but seeing God in everything will make us loving and patient with those who annoy and trouble us. They will be to us then only instruments for accomplishing His tender and wise purposes toward us, and we shall even find ourselves at last inwardly thanking them for the blessing they bring us. Nothing else will completely put an end to all murmuring or rebelling thoughts." by H.W. Smith

This is SO TRUE!! I have experienced this to be true! emoticon

Greetings Friends,

He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me; because he delighted in me (Psalm 18:19).
This was a verse that I believed God to have "given" me 6 years and 2 months ago. I was looking at moving to ............... so that I could go to ........ Baptist Bible Church and that was the verse God used in my life at that time to encourage me and reveal to me that I was on the right track. While at that time I took the meaning of "large place" to be the physical church here...I have since realized in my heart that it really Christ himself. This verse has great rejoicing connected with it.... thankful to have followed.

I guess I am at lost for words that are in my heart for I would like to say more...but do not know how....

So....I will leave it open ended.

 Hello Folks,

Daily He loadeth us with benefits.... Oh how true! Daily and truly daily...while joy or grief....HE IS good to me!

Anyway... I had some correspondence with friend from the Ukraine who shared a thought that I asked permission to share with the rest of you as it was a blessing.

Here is what he wrote:
Here is the thought God gave me recently:
I have heard a very nice phrase: "Noah's ark was built by an amateur, and 'Titanic' was built by professionals..." I do not know what they meant on the radio, for it was not a Christian program, but it struck me greatly. Noah in everything depended on God and carefully listened to His voice and followed His instructions, engineers who built 'Titanic' were proud of their work and depended only on their limited knowledge. I do not want to built my 'Titanic'... everything which is made by people has the same end - it collapses.

God Bless,
Naemi emoticon

Hello Folks,

Well... I was in the city of .... (in Canada emoticon) pretty much all day today and while it was ok for the fact that I wasn't there for me but for someone else and so I didn't have an agenda that I had to run after (which was wonderful!!!) but it was a rare occasion where I ended up just watching and reflecting on what I was seeing (in the city), and I have to admit it was far from uplifting...other than the fact that it really truly is very evident that the end times are here and soon we will be raptured.

But it was very sad....the world really is showing its true face....having done away with God. It seems everywhere there is stuff on idols (buddha, self, etc) and all the stuff that surrounds that and then if it wasn't that, I saw people and while I am sure it is not everyone....it seemed every man that I saw today looked very feminine and the women NOT feminine. It was a sad day and yet it stirred in my heart an even greater hunger and desire to hear my Father ALWAYS. Oh that this little light would shine for all it is worth...and perhaps, just perhaps one might see! emoticon

Anyway...I don't mean to be a downer.... emoticon

Hello to all,

Well...yet another week has gone by. I don't know about you all.....but while the weeks vary with their mountains and valleys...always, I find God to be faithful to me. Great cause for adoration of our Lord. I was reading through John again this week and WOW!, I don't think I have ever seen Jesus Christ in such light as I have again this week. It is almost as though, I got saved again..... and again saw just how precious of a Saviour we have and the deep deep love that flows from His riven side.

But anyway...that is not really what I had intended to share this week.....earlier this week I looked up the word "die" in the 1828 Noah Webster's dictionary it says that to die we are deprived of these three things:
1. respiration
2. of blood circulation
3. other bodily functions

When I read this I rejoiced...because in our salvation (the miracle of Life), all three things are covered:
1. covered by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ
2. recieve the indwelling of the Holy Ghost
3. and finally we are commended to not forsake the assembling of the body

WOW!! Truly our salvation is a miracle of God!! We really are new creatures! emoticon

Hello All,

A glorious week, yes? Well..certainly it has been for me!! And don't get me wrong...this "glorious week" was fairly ordinary...but it was another opportunity to walk just a little closer with my Father.

I really don't even have anything "spectacular" to share with you all this week but one morning during a bible study with a couple of my friends, my mind was stopped at a certain scripture...Hebrews 4:12,13.
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

This spoke to my heart with much weight. ...to exhort one another daily... otherwise we be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

It seemed like a commandment really...not an option or a choice. I had not ever quite seen it as important...and then of course the previous verse is important for the exhorting to actually happen. And that truly unbelief is an evil heart of unbelief. I was thankful for such a reminder as such this week.

God Bless you all!!

Sincerely,
Naemi emoticon
