No wonder soccer will never be big in the USA

I cannot understand why when MLS gets a once in a lifetime opportunity to expand the appeal of the league in the United States they waste it. You have one of the most exciting players ever to play in your league and he spends most of the time warming the bench. The visionaries like David Stern of the NBA and Pete Rozelle of the NFL would have never wasted such an golden opportunity. I heard some of the reasons why his coach dont play him such as he is not strong enough yet and players now outmuscle him. Well certain players you change the rules for the better good of your league to bring in the television ratings and TV revenue it will bring later on.David Stern of the NBA recognized this and the NBA had the Jordan Rules. When Michael Jordan 1st came in the NBA he had a lot off jealousy from his fellow players and took a lot of fouls. So the NBA referees began whistling fouls on players guarding Jordan what was not normally called a foul on other players so that the world could see his talent without play being stopped unnecessarily. The other players did not like this but what they did not realize is that they would all benefit monetary wise because of the resulting exploding of revenues brought in because of increased popularity Jordan brought to the NBA. If i was the Commissioner of the MLS i would do the same with Freddy Adu. If you breathed on him wrong i have the refs give you a yellow card. See how long he would be getting fouled if your team is a man or 2 down. Freddy is the only player i see that display Marshall Faulk like NFL running back abilities on the soccer field. That is why he would expand the popularity of what is considered a woman and kid's game in the United States and is widely considered a sissy sport by most people here.I don't mean to offend anybody but soccer is not considered macho here. Kids learn early in adolelescent that the opposite sex like the (American)football and basketball players .The same way Tiger Woods had an effect on golf ,Michael Jordan on the NBA and Ken Griffey in Baseball i believe Freddy could have had the same here if MLS had a Commisioner that was wise and astute. Freddy is one of the few athletes in all sports including basketball, ,the NFL, Major League baseball that gives me goosebumps when watching him play and it just confounds me why isn't he on the field more. MLS has the goose that could lay them the golden eggs they been serching for but due to their lack of vision and wisdom they is letting a chance of a lifetime slip by. What madness

Well, tell some of the USA players to head overseas and play. Ex. Dimpsy and Donavan would be average overseas compared to them. However, overtime, they'll get better. Hence, helping the USA go to the quarterfinals again. Adu needs to as well. he'll get brutalized over there but he WILL become a much better player for the world cup, if/when he gets on the team. Plus, give Adu some time. He's freakin' 17 years old. Give him experience at the premier and let him grow a little. By 24-25, he could become a phenom.
