10 of Wands
Hi everyone,
the other night I was doing a few tarot readings and, I think, the second or third card was 10 of Wands. I looked it up, and it said that thre was too many things going on, and some readers see it as a sign to deal again. I'd never done it before, so I ried again, and will you believe it, I got the same card again, in a different position, though. It was really wierd, because all the other cards seemed to re-appear as well. (not all, but some. I peeked at all the cards when I dealt again.)
So it's confusing, should I see it as a meaning, or not?

I may not follow;
just walk beside me and be my friend."

Re: 10 of Wands
hi
depending on where in the spread your 10 of wands landed, you`ll get different meanings for the card, however, there is one "answer" that i always use for this card. 10s relate to the world of formation, meaning the physical world, the space where ideas, goals, dreams, etc. manifest themselves. 10 is also the sphere of Malkuth/Kingdom, the physical plane. now when we come to wands im sure you know in tarot wands relate to fire (a physical wand also relates to fire in some wiccan trads, air in other trads), fire is the element of desire, putting energy in motion, Chokmah releasing the force into Binah (if you are familiar with Qabalah). now when you put these together, desires and putting energy in motion while already focusing on the physical world you get sort of a build up of wants and desires but no real way to manifest itself, this card is about that build up, about being trapped, about having goals and dreams but no way to release them into being. so wherever you had this card come up in the reading you`ll see how the build up of wants and feeling sort of trapt come into play. as for this idea about if you pull this card you should redraw cards, ummm, thats new to me. i would say dont bother pulling cards again because you could be missing some important info if you start over. i hope this helps

Re: 10 of Wands
Ok... I didn't really understand much of that, but I think I get the main drift. Thanks.

Re: 10 of Wands
How do you do tarot readings?
Where can you get the cards?
Well actually, Where can you get Anything?
--- Live, Love, Forgive, and never give up.
Live your life to the fullest. Love everyone. Forgive as much as you can. And never give up on your dreams.
If you can accomplish this,
You can accomplish anything.

Re: 10 of Wands
hi,
books and tarot decks can usually be picked up at larger book chains. hastings, b&n, books-a-million, those large store usually have a "new age" section with books and decks. just go and find a deck you like and then read the little booklet that comes with your deck. when you buy a deck you`ll usually be directed to practice one or two spreads and each position in the spread will represent an idea, thought, feeling, event, etc. and the card that falls in that place will tell you about the positions meaning. this is just the basics and after you learn this stuff you can move on to adding in elements of astrology, qabalah, or anything else that you want.
