Weapons Rit - Take 2

Basic idea here is to buff the melee, and provide additional direct damage.

This is in response to the idea of adding a hammer warrior to the team build.

Ritualist/Monk
Level: 20

Communing: 13 (12+1)
Channeling Magic: 16 (12+4)
Healing Prayers: 3

- Weapon of Fury [Elite] (Channeling Magic)
For 21 seconds, target ally gains 53% more adrenaline and 1 Energy whenever that ally successfully hits with an attack.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:8

- Nightmare Weapon (Channeling Magic)
For 12 seconds, target ally has a Nightmare Weapon. Target ally's next 3 attacks are reduced by 53 damage and steals up to 53 Health.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:10

- Ancestors' Rage (Channeling Magic)
All foes adjacent to target ally are struck for 137 lightning damage.
Energy:10 Cast:0.75 Recharge:8

- Channeled Strike (Channeling Magic)
Target foe is struck for 101 lightning damage. That foe is struck for an additional 37 lightning damage if you are holding an item.
Energy:10 Cast:2 Recharge:4

- Wielder's Strike (Channeling Magic)
Target foe is struck for 63 lightning damage. If you are under the effects of a weapon Spell, you deal an additional 63 lightning damage.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:12

- Vital Weapon (Communing)
For 41 seconds, target ally has a Vital Weapon and has +157 maximum health.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:2

- Mighty was Vorizun (Communing)
Hold Vorizun's ashes for up to 54 seconds. While you hold his ashes, you gain +15 armor and +30 maximum Energy.
Energy:5 Cast:2 Recharge:30

- Resurrection Chant (Healing Prayers)
Resurrect target party member with up to your current health and 11% Energy. This spell has half the normal range.
Energy:10 Cast:6 Recharge:15

Basic idea is Weapon of Fury on the hammer warrior to boost his adrenaline, and Nightmare Weapon on the sin. Rage on either as the opportunity presents itself.

Channeled Strike and Wielder's Strike provide some strong direct damage as well.

Still not sure if the hard rez is a good idea here or if it should be a sig.

Death Pact Signet? emoticon

Question can you both "Hold Ashes" and be under the effects of a weapon spell at the same time?

If not than the Weilder's Strike will be fairly weak. I wouldn't think you could, but I've yet to test it.

According to wiki, weapon spells work even with no weapon equipped.

Yeah you can't attack while holding the item but the spell is active, you can cast them on pets too. Load splinter weapon up on all your pets and set them to aggro and then set them loose on a group of mobs.

Re: Weapons Rit - Take 2

Ok, this build needs some adjustment.
The original thought behind the Vital Weapon/Mighty was Vorizun combo was for really good durability in a pressure build. (90 armor and 642 health is pretty good)
Plus it gave the extra energy needed to keep the skills going, and the bonus damage to Channeled Strike.

But the downside is it adds another level of complexity with having to maintain those skills, and if they expire at just the wrong time, you can be in trouble.
Plus, the fact is, that rits really aren't primary targets in GvG, so why bother making him a tank?

Anyway, here's the new incarnation.

Ritualist/any
Level: 20

Spawning Power: 8
Channeling Magic: 16 (12+4)
Restoration Magic: 11 (10+1)

- Weapon of Fury [Elite] (Channeling Magic)
For 21 seconds, target ally gains 53% more adrenaline and 1 Energy whenever that ally successfully hits with an attack.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:8

- Nightmare Weapon (Channeling Magic)
For 12 seconds, target ally has a Nightmare Weapon. Target ally's next 3 attacks are reduced by 53 damage and steals up to 53 Health.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:10

- Spirit Burn (Channeling Magic)
Target foe is struck for 63 lightning damage. If any Spirits are in the area around you, spirit Burn deals +47 damage.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:8

- Essence Strike (Channeling Magic)
Target foe is struck for 63 lightning damage. If any spirits are in the area around you, you gain 10 Energy.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:8

- Mend Body and Soul (Restoration Magic)
Target ally is healed for 90 Health. That ally loses one Condition for each allied Spirit in your area.
Energy:5 Cast:0.75 Recharge:3

- Life (Restoration Magic)
Create a level 8 spirit. When this Spirit dies, all non-Spirit allies within its range are healed for 5 Health for each second this Spirit was alive. This Spirit dies after 20 seconds.
Energy:10 Cast:3 Recharge:20

- Destruction (Channeling Magic)
Create a level 11 spirit that dies after 30 seconds. When this Spirit dies, all nearby foes take 5 damage for each second the Spirit was alive.
Energy:5 Cast:3 Recharge:15

- Rez (either sig or hard rez depending on team makup)

I know it may appear that I now have to maintain spirits instead to the weapon/item combo. But the spirits aren't crucial. Very helpful, but not crucial, and it won't hurt me if I don't/can't keep them up.
Plus the spirits provide some helpful AoE effects. While the weapon/item combo was only benefiting me.

Destruction is a nasty little spirit. When I see it go up in PvE if I can kill it pretty quick then I do so. If not then I try and leave the area so I do not have to worry about healing up a bunch of "smart" henchmen and heroes who decided to stand right next to it for a photo op.

If you can fit it... can the warrior go W/Rt?

If you're taking Destruction you might as well have the warrior take Draw Spirit. emoticon

That would definitely be a nasty little surprise. The spirit starts outside the main fighting area and then ends up in the middle of backline.
