Re: Feb_Rit_Build
Since we're going to be attempting to stick together instead of actively ganking, do we really want to keep Spirit Rift on there?
I can see it's use on a gank, but against "live" opponents how well does it work? I mean that 3 seconds of a big glowing ball seems so obvious, I don't see many people standing in it when it goes off.
I'd rather see Nightmare Weapon, or another heal in there.

Re: Feb_Rit_Build
I like spirit rift as it adds some solutions to: Wards, Minions, VOD. However, nightmare or the weapons that interrupt (warmonger and wailing) would be nice also.

Re: Feb_Rit_Build
Honestly, any offensive skills on the runner will only come into play during either a gank or at VoD, so any discussion of those skills should be with those particular scenarios in mind. At almost any other time, the Rit will be running flags.
With that in mind, I would lean towards retaining Spirit Rift, but I'm not married to the idea. It's still not going to be much better than Splinter at Vod, but it would definately be effective vs minion hordes and spirit farms.
edited to add:Where did Wielder's Strike come from? Protective Was Kaolai is in the build to help you survive as a flag runner, the build's primary function. Adding more damage doesn't help the build fulfill it's role at all.

Re: Feb_Rit_Build
Wielder Strike was put in after the first internal scrimmage. Spirit Rift by itself did not give enough for the rit to take down an archer from range.
So this was left over from that subsequent conversation. I only recall using it in one battle around the wall. So it is definitely an opportunity for another weapons skill or other.

Re: Feb_Rit_Build
I'd vote to replace Wielder Strike with either PWK or Weapon of Shadow.
I'm not sure what the current equipment set is, but if we do put PWK back on the bar, then it's probably a good idea to use Herald's Insignias. Since you'll either be holding a flag or PWK. So you'll almost always have the armor boost.
EDIT: Another one to consider is Soothing Memories. A very cheap heal when you're holding the flag (or PWK).

Re: Feb_Rit_Build
PwK also serves as a decent party heal during those times where the runner is with the team, which compliments the Paragon rather well, IMO.
I did however just notice the use of PwK might be a bit troublesome, as you cannot use it while actually running the flag...
Maybe Weapon of Shadow is better here? But, do weapon spells work while carrying the flag?

Yes. You don't actually need a weapon equipped to take advantage of weapon spells.
