A little bit about being a Hero
So... What does it mean to be a Hero?
It means many things, to many of our members, but there are a few things it should mean to all.
A Hero:
...Is courteous and respectful to all that they come into contact with. Not just other Heros, but everyone in the game. Wearing the Flaming Hand of Heroes Etc... is a privilege, and any actions we take while wearing that cape will reflect on the Guild as a whole. In other words, Heroes do not embarrass themselves or the Guild by being disrespectful to other people.
...Enjoys the companionship of like-minded gamers. We strive to create an atmosphere where all can be comfortable, and free to voice their opinions. Community and fellowship can be enjoyed both in the game, and on our boards.
...Is open minded. Even though we may all have a lot of things in common, in the end, every Hero is a unique person, with their own wants and desires, their own goals to achieve, and their own preferences. As long as those differences are not at odds with the principles of our philosophy, they are embraced as part of what makes the Guild what it is.
...Does not regard The Ladder as the end-all and be-all of the Guild. We have every intention of being effective at PvP. Our ladder standings on the other hand, are not going to be the reward. Instead it will be the teamwork and camaraderie we build playing together.
...Is inside us all. It is the drive to excel, to acheive, to explore what lurks around the next bend on the shady path. The true worth of a Hero is not derived from her standing, his fame, or our rank. It is the intrinsic quality that everyone identifies with, and from which respect fonts. A true hero is your friend, ally, brother, sister, mentor, and student.
So... Are you a Hero?
