The Equality part. Everyone should have as much equal chance as anyone else. As well as communication part. Without proper communication all is lost.
5. Have you ever been in a guild in another game, and are you in one now ? Explain what you like/d about or dislike/d about it ?
No I have not.
6. What times and days do you play? Please include time zone, state/country etc...
I am in CST. I play usually around the mornings and afternoons, as sometimes at night depending on if anything is going on that I make note of ahead of time.
7. Do you frequent any of the Guild Wars fansites or other forums? If so, what name do you post under?

I have TS and Vent.
9. As best as you can, describe the balance of PvE/PvP that you play or would like to play.
PvE Eye of the North Hard Mode, and PvP Alliance Battle. Of course I'm open to anything PvP related as well as aiding people in PvE areas that I am very knowledgable in.

11. Guild Wars has a method of ranking guilds in terms of their PvP records called the Guild Ladder. How important is ladder ranking to you?
Well Usually that does not determine who good the guild is. If I am in a awesome guild, I would care if we were First or Last.
12. Heroes Etc... has a minimum activity level for both our message boards and in game of two weeks. Can you meet this requirement?
I can sure try. Most guild forums that I have been a part of are very inactive and I beleive if there is people communicating, then I am sure to join in for sure.
13. What profession/s do you prefer to play in a group? I prefer to play Elementalist, when it comes to PvE. When it comes to PvP I will be glad to be anything except monk. It takes a special breed of man to play a good monk.

I currently own all chapters of Guild Wars, with a stack-o-cash saved away for the release of GW2. I started playing technically the release day of Factions, but I couldn't load Shing Jea Monastery so I gave up. Returned and tried again after Nightfall and Eye of the North were out. I actually loaded Shing Jea this time so I got hooked and I've been playing ever since. My current main character is my assassin named Musei Karasu, and I also play my dervish on a regular basis named Karasu Oujou(All of my characters have Karasu in the name except my ele). When I started playing I was playing with two friends and we formed a little tiny guild. We started playing at the same level, but I quickly excelled past my two friends. Both of them still sort of play, but neither have more than two characters, where as I have one of every profession except ritualist and ranger(I prefer up front fighting but I can play my ele rather well). I paid for the guild hall and two NPCs then realized there wasn't much point to it unless we actually get members. As leader, I sort of decided I don't know enough about Guild Wars to start a guild up so I went out looking for a guild to join. I happened to notice the advertisement about HerosEtc on Guru(i go by Musei Karasu there) so I looked you up.
Through my gaming experience I have found that a guild/alliance/coalition/team/horde/whateveryoudliketocallit has two very key requirements that I expect from any guild/alliance/etc... and neither have to do with the ladder(I'm almost all PvE, so PvP doesn't matter much to me right now) The first is fellowship. A guild is a family and everyone should feel welcome, why would they be in the guild if not? The second is communication. If there's no communication then there's no guild(to which I see you use TeamSpeak, I have and can use TeamSpeak). That is what I expect and hope for(plus maybe a bit of help on Raisu Palace  ). I was attracted to Heros Etc specifically because of the flexibility of acceptance. I personally am doing almost solely PvE but I might like to move out into PvP after a while I just don't know. I'm rather crazy about the economy and I love trading, buying, selling, and the such so that's my main focus right now. Activity also attracted my attention. I absolutely can't stand it when someone is in a guild or team and they are inactive. I honestly cannot stand it. In every team I have ever been in charge of I kicked anyone who was inactive. Activity is key to me and I hope to find that here. I know I will be active at least.  As far as activity I'm usually around a computer between 1800-0400 GMT every day, due to me being in North Carolina(EST).

Yes I own Guild Wars. I Currently have only the Prophecies, and NighFall campaign's but i do plan on obtaining Factions, and Eye of the North in the near future.
2. What is the name of your main character?
I currently have to main characters that i use, Spike Treasoner, and Lotus Deception. You will usually find me playing on Spike Treasoner most of the time though.
3. What are you looking for from a guild?
What i'm looking for in/from a guild is just that a "Guild". A place where I can interact with fellow gamer's in a friendly and inviting enviroment and play the game for fun instead of a hardcore "elitist" guild who's only goal is to stip the fun out of the game and treat there members like nothing.
4. What about the HeEt philosophy do you like or dislike? Please be specific.
The idea that the guild is built around devoloping friendship's with each other and have a overall enjoyable and fun experiance throughout the time we play the game. To be more specific the Friendly Atmosphere the HeEt philosophy seems to give the impression of.
5. Have you ever been in a guild in another game, and are you in one now ? Explain what you like/d about or dislike/d about it ?
During my years of online gameing i have been in many guild that which spand from greedy unfriendly guild's to guilds that have a goal to be friends and have fun playing the game together. The thing i like most of the guild's i have been is is definatly one's that have a Friendly and inviting atmospher to them which is why i think i would HeEt.
6. What times and days do you play? Please include time zone, state/country etc...
Due to my job during week days i don't have much time to play the game but I usually try to make time for one or two hours of gameplay during the week, on weekends i tend to play a average of 5-12 hours if not more depending on my schedule. I have no set time i play these hours, i live in Kansas so my timezone is central U.S Standard Time.
7. Do you frequent any of the Guild Wars fansites or other forums? If so, what name do you post under?
The only fansite i visit and use is http://www.guildwarsguru.com, my username there is Chaotic Lime.
8. Do you (if not: can you) use TeamSpeak?
Do to my finacial strains outside of GuildWars I could only use TeamSpeak to listen to fellow guild mate's but i'm deffinatly a fan of using it.

As of right now I only play PvE but i'd love to get into the PvP side of the game if I only knew how to do well in it. Until then though i'll stick to PvE.

Well in a search to find a guild that is friendly and enjoys the game for fun, I read Heroes recruiting post on guildwarsguru.com and proceded to read the information you have posted on your site about your Guild and came to the conclusion that you all seem to be a very casual gamer friendly guild that enjoys haveing a good time inside the game.

Well since i dont PvP at all it has no importance to me at all. Even if i did PvP it would have very little importance to me because as long as i'm having fun in the guild i'm PvPing with it does not mater how high ranked we are on the Guild Ladder.

Even though I am a very casual gamer i find no problems with me not being able to stay active to the requirments of this guild. Because even though i may be a very casual gamer I do usually make time to play a little bit every day.

Well i prefer playing as a Ranger, and a Necromancer even though I have next to no clue how to play these to professions correctly. My third favorite profession and the one i feel i know a fare bit about is the Warrior.
In the near future thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you find I can fit in well with Heroes as i feel it is the guild for me.
On a side not since I probably don't play the game as much as you the best way to reach me would be my e-mail if you can not find me on ingame.

I really like how you all do not discrimiate against any type of player whther they are a pve or pvp gamer, which mostly every other guild I see is oriented towards one or the other.

I've been in guilds in other Mmorpgs before, I actually was a co-gm in one, of course this was a few years ago It was basically a guild for casual players who wanted to play the game with friends and such.

I usually play later in the day in the eastern time zone.

I have before and will be able to at least sign on now, but since I'm using not the best laptop ever it might be a little difficult to use it really frequently until I get my PC

I love both and do both whenever. I could do pve all day or pvp all day, I'm a steady mix

Usually I prefer Elementalist over everything else, but I have been focusing on my Dervish and will continue to focus on her But I usually just like support types or types that are in the back, being a dervish is a nice change.

I'm looking for an organization to be in so that when I log in I always have familiar folks to hang out with. I'm tired of soloing or seeking random pickup groups.

Heroes seems like a laid back guild that enjoys all aspects of the game. From browsing through your website, Heroes appears mature yet knows how to have a good time. A diverse player base is always a plus. I've been having tons of fun playing this game over the last few months and am looking for other folks who enjoy the game too.
oh, I also was cool with the fact that you guys are turtle-pirates (Luxons) which is good, arrrrggg.
5. Have you ever been in a guild in another game, and are you in one now ? Explain what you like/d about or dislike/d about it ?
I've been in guilds in all of the mmo's I've played: EQ, DAoC, Anarchy Online, WoW, and even ran a guild with my cousin for a while in EQ2. The most memorable guild for me was my WoW guild <Nevers End> because it was a laid back guild that had a ton of fun but still was able to beat end-game content easily without being hardcore. We didn't even use any ridiculous "DKP" systems that detract heavily from that genre of game. The members of that guild were mature, cool and had no problems spreading the wealth around. Class Acts all the way.
Currently I am guildless.

I live in the U.S./Central timezone and usually play afternoons, early and late evenings.

I occasionally check the guildwars player website for the state of the game and pvp articles.

I have used teamspeak and vent, plus my microphone still works.

A good game has variety in both and I like to do both. There are still many PvE areas I have yet to explore and I want to see it all. Generally if people are up for something and I'm sitting around, I'm willing to give it a shot.

After looking at numerous guild on Guildwars Guru, I found myself liking <Heroes Etc> most overall.

Zero; guildwars' observe feature is awesome and it's fun to watch the top ranked guilds blow each other out during the monthly tournaments. I'm not concerned about being in a top ladder guild though, I just like to pvp from time to time.

Definitely; I play almost daily and though I may not post daily I usually at least browse forums often.

The profession I've spent the most time with and enjoy most is my monk. I've also beaten the nightfall and prophecies campaigns on my elementalist. I keep thinking about trying out paragon and may eventually break down and at least give it a shot.

I have Proph, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North. "Across all characters, you have played for 2,403 hours 38 minutes for the past 14 months."
2. What is the name of your main character?
Alder Greenfox - Ranger, my first character. (I also play a lot on Poet Greenfox, Necromancer, my title chaser)
3. What are you looking for from a guild?
I am looking for a more active, casual guild with an active alliance. When time permits, I would also like to engage in guild/alliance activities. Recently, I've been working on a lot of hard mode content. I also enjoy helping newer players get started.

I appreciate the equality clause. My previous guild, in fact, made everyone officers in a statement of equality. I also look forward to the casual approach to gaming, and the sense of community fostered by the HeEt philosophy.

Until now, I have been in my first guild in GW. I joined when I first got Guild Wars over a year ago. I watched it grow from a small guild to a large leader of an alliance, and dwindle down again. Unfortunately, it is not really active anymore, and changing guilds has been a hard decision.

I play mostly in the evenings during the week (PST, from Washington).

I read GWGuru quite a bit, but I don't tend to post there.

Traditionally, I have done far more PvE, with some PvP. However, I wouldn't mind learning the PvP side of the game a bit more.

My previous guild was mostly PvE. The ladder isn't that important to me, although I recognize that it can be important to others.

Hey guys,
My current WOW subscription expires before the new year. After that, I will probably take some time off from MMORPG's or at least cut my playing time. When I do play, I am not sure if I will be spending $$ to get into WOW right away, but will play more GW. Not to follow Val around where ever he goes, but I have actually logged into my GW account a few times in the last couple of weeks so I would like to get my name back in the guild. Here are my new answers (and I found my original ones from 5/2005 )

I liked and still like the mentality of having fun. I really enjoyed the time talking on TS and helping each other out when we would go for an elite cap or something.

I was in Heets here. In WOW I was/am in the guild that was started by Heet defectors and has merged, broken apart, renamed,...

I ususally play weekend mornings/days. When I am on durring the week, it is evening ~ 7 to 10pm central time.

I have used TS before although after playing WOW, I really do prefer Vent.

No problem. Like I said, in-game I may not be playing a lot, atleast initially but I have always kept my eyes on the forum.

I have my 20 Ranger and Warrior. I do have a 20 Necro, and have started a couple new chars that are still all very young.
