runes on heroes?
I haven't tried it, but I'm still relatively sure you can put runes on them.
My question is if you put a rune on one of your heroes armor pieces, does it stay with him/her, or do you have to re-apply another rune as they get their new armor?
(when I say 'new armor' I'm referring to the fact that their armor changes as they level)

no they stay there hence i gave my minor vigor to koss as i would be getting new armor

I believe their armor is not changing in the same sense as our armor changes. In order to upgrade our armor we have to physically swap out piece by piece. The hero's armor is fluid and based on their level. Because of this the armor pieces are not be changed so the runes you place on a piece of armor are okay.
Does that make sense or have I made something more complex?

That is exactly correct. I have given Acolyte Jin a Minor Marksmanship Rune, and Koss a Minor Tactics Rune, and they have remained affixed throughout level ups and changes in their armor.

That could be the hardest part - finding the runes!!  As I come across them, I will hold on to them and share them across Guild and Alliance channels. I did have a Minor Scythe rune yesterday, but I gave that to a party member of mine at the time from our Alliance.

Now that traders are completely out of stock on most minors, I wonder what you get for selling one?
Laws of supply and demand should dictate a pretty penny. But then again anet may have put a cap on it.
So anyone tried selling a minor rune that's out of stock? (I would, but I have none to sell )

Personally I think the Armor Insignias would be harder to find.
For this reason. While I can get minor runes on Blues.
I've only seen armor insignias on Golds.
Yeah... But I have found three armor insignias so far. A "Tormented" for a Necro that I gave away. A "Sacred" I ended up using on Dunkoro. And I currently have an "Artificer's" for Mesmers. For those that don't know, Artificer has "+3 armor for every Signet on your skill bar"... which my domination mesmers tend to have at least 3 signets. Rez, Unnatural, and Disruption. +9 armor flat is better in my mind than the +10 situational armor bonus of other sets.

You can salvage runes back off of Hero Armor, and I'm assuming it's impossible to scrap the armor in the process, since it's impossible to buy new armor. I haven't tried it with insignia's yet, but I'd guess its the same there.
I was a little bothered by the cost of runes before I knew we could salvage them off. It's going to be hard enough to swap hero builds without the expense of buying new runes every time you want to change from sword to axe... but this way you can either mitigate your costs by reselling the runes, or else stockpile your commonly needed runes for recycling.
Need more storage. One for armors and one for holiday junk.
