this maybe a "duh" question, but can you use armor from factions or prophesies in nightfall?

Yes, you just can't purchase armor for professions that are not available in other releases.

And, inscritions won't work on any of the old stuff. But some of the runes will... emoticon

Plus, I have found that the old and new scrolls for XP do not mix. So use the old ones up if you are short on storage.

Yeah, that whole scroll issue was a pain in the butt! I think I have finally finished off my old scrolls because things are stacking again.

so, if i were to purchase/craft armor with one character, would i be able to transfer it to another character? or would the armor be automatically customized for the character who purchased/crafted it?

I even tried deleting a character with decent armor and then creating another character with the same name, but the armor was not usable by the new character/same name.
