Q: Runes and Insignias for a PvE Warrior
I have to buy armor, runes and insignias for my warrior. Damage dealing is not the main goal, nor tanking. Is it worth to apply Lieutenant's insignias or a Rune of Clarity?

Just curious, what other roles are there for a warrior?

Ok, i think this was a bit unclear. Damage and tanking are important, but i'm not interested in optimizing my setup for the one and only purpose of dealing damage. A well rounded setup is more important for me. And this takes me to the question weather Lieutenant's insignias or a Rune of Clarity are worth the slots. Currently, the -5% for the dealt damage with Lieutenant's insignias are not a problem at all. Furthermore, i'm not interested in using sentinel's insignias, since this limits me to 13 strength. 2 sets for swapping are bit costly.

Re: Q: Runes and Insignias for a PvE Warrior
Use the Dreadnaught's set. Simple, basic, swings good, real decent. Doesn't need any stat, no real drawback.
Either that or go get some of the +health insignias, but those are probably more important.
Runes of Clarity and Insignias are not mutually exclusive, you can have both on a piece of armor.
*Shrug* I'd probably go and take the Dreadnaught's. Then two major runes, for your weapon, and strength or tactics, whichever you prefer. Major runes are cheap, thus you can easily buy and replace them as you want. You're talking what, 25 gold each? Then put on three runes of your choice. I went with Superior Vigor, Superior Absorption, and Clarity I believe.

Re: Q: Runes and Insignias for a PvE Warrior
I'm a big fan of using Radiant Insignias on Warriors. Extra energy can mean a lot more diversity in builds available to you.
Also, extra energy can make it easier to do things that other insignias do for you- like remove blind, instead of taking the 20% reduction in duration, or removing poison, weakness, cripple, etc...
As for the runes, my own personal recommendation is to put a Superior Absorption on the chest, have helmets with Superior Weapon runes (tied to each type of helmet) or at least a minot if you are not comfortable with the Superior, and then a minor for Strength and Tactics (or Majors if you don't use a Superior in the weapon. Basically, all of your runes come down to the decision of how much health to sacrifice for what benefit.
Also, if you are going to be playing a hammer warrior, don't forget to find room for a Stonefist Insignia (best place is on your Hammer helmet).

Clarity isn't an Insignia. Thought I'd mention that again since you worded that so it sounded like "Radiant or Clarity" in your description Boss Man. No reason you can't have both. The Reduction ones are Assassin Insignias only as I recall. Or at least assassins had armor that did that in Factions. Not sure if those Insignias made it over to Nightfall.

Ah, you are correct, sir. I get my professions mixed up sometimes.
In that case, it would come down to (for me, anyway) Clarity vs Absorption. I'd still take a Sup Absoprtion over a Clarity.

Re: Q: Runes and Insignias for a PvE Warrior
SHould have room for both.
If it's Helmet is Weapon
Torso - Strength/Tactics?
Arm - Vigor
Leg - Absorption (Doesn't matter where an Absorption rune is, unlike the Knight's Insignia.)
Foot - Clarity/Other out of that set?

Re: Q: Runes and Insignias for a PvE Warrior
I try to work with just one set of armor, swapping helms as necessary. That gives me:
Head: Weapon
Chest: Absorption
Gloves: Strength
Legs: Vigor
Feet: Tacticw
Even though I rarely run both Strength and Tactics, this way I don't have to swap armor out when I change a build, except for the weapon. It just makes it simpler for me.

Re: Q: Runes and Insignias for a PvE Warrior
Yeah. Personally I've never liked Strength. It's Attribute effect is less than inspiring. 1% per point when you you an attack skill. Tactics seems to have all the Fun Stuff. The almighty attack skill "Thrill of Victory", defensive stuff like Soldier's Stance and "Watch Yourself!". Tactics are by far my favorite. Never run strength so I never thought of having one of each.
