In search of........
yes I know I am dating myself (for those of you that remember the tv show with Mr Spock)
but on the serious note: Does anyone know where to find or how to get Amber? I picked up some amber bows......I thought to myself "Self! It says amber bows! Most surley there is amber to havested from said bows!"
 sill rabbit.....tricks are for sinns!
no amber only wood (and I have maxed out my wood in my account)

You can also get Glittering Dust from them.
But no, the only way to get Amber is to gain Kurzick Faction. At least 1,000. Which you can talk to a guy "Faction Rewards" next to his name I believe, and trade in 1,000 Kurzick Faction for one piece of Amber.
Jade works the same way with Luxon Faction and Cavalon. But who would want Jade Armor, it all looks like crap. 
Note the other huge Rare set of materials (Rubies, Sapphires, Diamonds), you can actually salvage out of the appropriate weapons if you're lucky, and have a Superior Salvage kit.

ahh......well that explains that. *throws out the amber bows. Grumbling about naming the stupid things one way and getting something else when salvaging them*
and I see that to get the title of a drunk here is just as expensive as in real life! lol isn't that strangly ironic! to bad they don't have any "Old Crow" you know....something that costs like 1 gold coin and gets you drunk for like 5 min....lol

I wish. As is I've turned in every Battle Commendation, Monastery Credit, Imperial Commendation, Equipment Requisition, Kournan Coin, Luxon Totem, etc, on Booze.
Got a good stockpile, but so far only about 180 minutes drunk. Mostly because I don't work on it all that often.

One thing I'd like to mention is that the very vest and fastest way to gain Luxon action (and also the most fun IMO) is by doing Alliance Battles. You are rewarded with a good chunk of Faction, win or lose, which can be traded in for Amber.
I often use it as a "cash cow" when I'm in need of some quick gold. Farm the faction in AB, then trade for Amber and sell Amber chunks for aroun 250-300g each.
Boy, it makes me wish for the days when I was able to sell Amber for aroun 750g-1plat each, but I guess so many folks are pimping out the toons in the latest and greatest in Elonan accoutrements that the demand has just fallen so much.

Amber is Kurzick. Jade is Luxon.
But yeah, Jade is most easily gained by AvAing. And it's a ton of fun. Consider it PvP-Lite. It's more forgiving of mistakes than your GvG matches. And you'll run into some builds that you never see in GvG (Like the obligatory "It's AvA, MM!" builds... -_-)
For Amber I'd suggest going to Fort Aspenwood. Presuming you win (Kinda hard for the Kurzicks. Depends on the team, Luxons have a huge advantage there. I wonder why the Jade Quary is never used...), you can end up getting about 800 Faction. It's the Most Fun way to earn Kurzick Faction.
The fastest way is to find the outpost "Brauer Academy". Exit NORTH of that outpost (There are three exits, south, north, and west). A short jog NORTH from the outpost is a NPC that gives you a repeatable quest (Everytime you zone in you can take the quest again). The quest is just a short distance from there, where you are supposed to take part in a practice match against some Kurzicks.
Bring AoE, take down the healers first. You can do it in about 3 - 8 minutes for 400 faction, some XP, and some gold. Fort Aspenwood nets you about 800, if you win (200 if you don't), and takes about 15 minutes or more.
