Wa/Ne Plague Blade
Wa/Ne
PvP Build
Resurrection Signet [0/3/0](Signet) Resurrect target party member. That party member is returned to life with 100% Health and 25% Energy. You may only use this Signet ring once per mission.
Flurry [5/0/5](Stance) For 5 seconds, your attack rate is increased by 33%, but you deal 25% less damage.
Sever Artery [0/0/4A](Sword Attack) If this attack hits, the opponent begins Bleeding for 5..21 [26] seconds, losing Health over time.
Virulence [5/1/10] ELITE (Spell) If target foe was already suffering from a Condition, that foe suffers from Disease, Poison, and Weakness for 3..13 [16] seconds.
Plague Touch [5/.75/0](Skill) Transfer a negative Condition and its remaining duration from yourself to target touched foe.
Distracting Blow [5/.5/10](Melee Attack) Swipe your weapon at the target, dealing no damage but disrupting the target's current action (and the actions of foes adjacent to your target).
Riposte [0/0/4A](Sword Skill) For 8 seconds, while you have a sword equipped, you "Block" the next attack against you, and your attacker takes 1..32 [43] damage.
Healing Signet [0/2/4](Signet) You gain 40..130 [159] Health. You have -40 Armor while using this skill.
Sword Skill 10+
Death Magic 12
Tactics 9+
Flurry, then Sever Artery followed by Virulence.
Give Disease or other conditions away with Plague Touch.
Riposte and Healing Signet for defense and self healing.
The sword is bonus damage. The main damage is conditions.

Re: Wa/Ne Plague Blade
This is an interesting idea. I may incorporate Virulence and Plague Touch into my standard PvP axe build. It also creates conditions, plus it can dish out some decent damage. Adding degen to it as well could be viscious.

Re: Wa/Ne Plague Blade
I know you can give the disease away with plague touch, but doesn't it just keep spreading back to you?

Re: Wa/Ne Plague Blade
I have paired Severe Artery and Virulance together with no points in Sword, and only a couple in Death. Worked really well in Arena if I got lucky and paired up with a Fragger, which was a high percentage of the time prior to last update. Still quite a few running around.
Andovar you are right about Disease, Tainted Flesh could be brought by someone else to address that though. Throw in an Ele with Thunderclap, and give the warriors lightning weapons and I think you could have a pretty interesting team build.

You only get a specific disease once. You can't catch it back. There has to be a new one before you can catch it.

Ah, cool, I didn't know that.
I guess Plague Touch is kinda like a vaccine of sorts.

Re: Wa/Ne Plague Blade
Nice one Greentongue...this is a good looking build!
I tried it out a bit, and didn't have a ton of luck, but I think that was a combination of getting horrible teams in random arenas and me needing some practice with the build.
From the little that I did see, plague touch was a definite must-have item! It seemed like I was constantly getting conditioned and then passing it off onto somebody else.

Re: Wa/Ne Plague Blade
I ran an Axe version of this build along with Pyxis as a Necro/? in teams (the other two members were randoms) and it seemed rather effective.
I used the following:
Flurry
Dismember
Axe Rake
Executioner's Strike
Disrupting Chop/Rez Signet
Virulence
Plague Touch
For Great Justice
I was firing off FGJ to increase adrenaline gain, hacking the target with Dismember to induce a Deep Wound, then Virulence, Axe Rake to cripple, Executioner's Strike for more damage, and so on.
Pyxis was using a skill who's name I cannot remember, but it prevented allies from geting disease. When this was in use, I rarely had the occassion to use Plague Touch. As the only squishy target on our team, he went down early and often though, and then Plague Touch came in handy to keep me disease free. It also worked rather well to knock off any blindness that came my way.
Overall, the build was extremely effective in taking down just about anyone. We had no healing in any of our teams, yet managed to be rather succesful against presumably planned teams in the team arena.
I found that by using the Axe, I was limited in my ability to get Virulence off by needing 7 strikes of adrenaline to induce my first condition. Using FGJ helped imeensley, but what was even better was playing with a sword warrior who was playing a conditions based build.
I imagine in a team of 8 Heroes, with several members able to induce conditions, this could be a great frontline build.
Here's a rather rough draft of a team idea-
2- Plague of Valykar Necro's
2- Plague Blade Warriors - Using Lightning weapons
2- Thunderclap Air Ele's
2- Monks specced for Heal and Prot
