Seering Flames Ele
I just capped Searing Flames on my PVE ele the other day and this is the build I have played most recently.
Fire 16 (1+3)
Energy Storage 13 (+1)
Immolate - Target foe is struck for 63 fire damage and is set on fire for 3 seconds.
Liquid Flame - Target foe is struck for 119 fire damage. If that foe is attacking or casting a Spell, nearby foes are also struck for 119 fire damage.
Glowing Gaze- Target foe takes 53 fire damage. If that foe is on fire, you gain 10 Energy.
Searing Flames - Target foe and all nearby foes are struck with Searing Flames. Foes already on fire when this skill is cast are struck for 106 fire damage. Foes not already on fire begin Burning for 5 seconds.
Searing Heat-Cause searing heat at target foe's location. For 5 seconds, foes near this location are struck for 42 fire damage each second. When Searing Heat ends, enemies in the area of effect are set on fire for 3 seconds.
Everyone know what these three do.
Fire Attuenment
Aura of Restoration
Glyph of Lesser Energy
So Immolate, Gaze Searing Heat combo can be pretty much chained for 30 seconds when used with the GOLE in between 2 and 3. The costs and damage are
Chain 1:
Energy: -6 , +7 , -9 total energy loss is 5 energy.
Damage 63 +42 degen, 53, 106 for a total of 264 total damage in 3 seconds. In addition all foes in the area are set on fire for 5 seconds total 70 degen.
Chain 2:
Energy: -6 , -9 total energy loss is 13 energy.
Damage: 63 +42 degen, 106 for a total of 211 total damage in 2 seconds. In addition all foes in the area are hit for 106 this time.
Searing heat can be swapped out but is in there as a cover and is a good AOE skill if mobs attack me. Since mobs run from AOE it is pretty effective. Searing flames on the other hand does not seem to have the same mob splitting ability since it is direct damage and not as much AOE.
Anyways any thoughts on the build skill use would be welcome as well as what other skill might be useful in a DOA type group. Especially thougts on what could fill the Searing Heat spot.

Re: Seering Flames Ele
Looks like exactly what we're looking for for DoA.
As far as what to replace searing heat with, I don't know. But it seems that the sac glyph/meteor shower combo is pretty popular for DoA builds. Could probably do away with the aura if you wanted to go that route.
BTW, check out these pictures from this build in action: http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:Team_-_DoA_Balanced
(scroll down, to the right of the W/E build)
Looks like some fun mob massacre!

Re: Seering Flames Ele
Yes aura is not needed and if it is we are already in to much trouble. Looked at some youtube footage and this makes FOW look like a cake walk....So Sac Glyph and Meteor Shower (one of my favorite skills) it is. It also looks like Liqiud heat should be drop in the effort to get another support skill like convert hexes / hard rez with sac glyph or even deep freeze.

Re: Seering Flames Ele
Glowing Gaze should also be considered. With it you could probably drop the Glyph. Or replace it with Elemental Power.
*shrug*
Eles suck, go Ranger!
Nah. Looks like it'd be a decent, effective build. Doesn't excite me though. That's my only issue with it. It's not "Sexy" and exciting and new.
