Anyone have a good SS build? I can not remeber what I used to run...or if new skills make a better build...

SS lost a lot of effectiveness back when they changed the AI response to AoE.

I haven't used it in a while, but here's a build that's supposedly pretty good.

The AI system didn't hurt SS, that I know of.

I can probably help you out though. My main character is a SS necro. Normally I change my build up a lot, because there is some skills you should consider for every area. If you plan on doing a lot of HM or Harder areas, then Enfeebling Blood is a must, Normally in higher end areas this is your best skill (and I normally take out Arcane Echo if i'm running Enfeebling Blood, because I cast it a lot). If your not in a harder area then run a Echo build, but I still stay away from it must of the time unless you expect aggro to be clumped together.

Enough with that, I will give you my basic build.

1. Spiteful Spirit
2. Insidious Parasite
3. Enfeebling Blood
4. Barbs (If you are running heavy melee or MM)
5. Mark of Pain (Same as barbs)
6. Signet of Lost Souls
7. Blood Ritual (Another slot that can be changed)
8. Res of choice (normally I run Rebirth, unless I'm running Arcane Echo)

Attributes:
Curses: 12+1+3
Soul Reaping: 12 + 1
Blood Magic: 6

Sure it did. Mobs never used to consider it AoE and melee would happily surround you and effectively kill themselves.
Once they made the AI more "aoe aware" they run in, take some damage, then fall back out of range, then come back in again.
So it still works, it just takes a lot longer.

I've never had problems with it. I think it goes off a time interval, because I know things like firestorm will make aggro run. But SS doesn't do it unless you are soloing. At least from my experiences. (And I've been playing a SS necro for the last 2 years)

Well, not sure about SS in particular.

But I know say, Ignite Arrows will cause them to run when they hit about 50% health. Even though it's not AoE over Time like Firestorm, when the AoE hits from the Explosions they'll run. Even though they're not really escaping the damage.
