Anti-Shout necro (GvG)
This is kind of a jack-of-all-trades midline necro. Anti-shout, anti-melee, disenchanter, with a ward.
Necromancer/Elementalist
Soul Reaping: 9 (8+1)
Curses: 14 (12+2)
Earth Magic: 10
- Corrupt Enchantment [Elite] (Curses)
Remove one Enchantment from target foe. If an Enchantment is removed in this way, that foe suffers from -8 Health degeneration for 10 seconds.
Energy:5 Cast:0.75 Recharge:10
- Defile Defenses (Curses)
For 10 seconds, the next time target foe blocks, that foe takes 100 damage
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:5
- Anti-melee skill (Insidious Parasite, Price of Failure, Reckless Haste)
- Vocal Minority (Curses)
For 19 seconds, target foe and all nearby foes cannot use Shouts or Chants.
Energy:10 Cast:1 Recharge:20
- Parasitic Bond (Curses)
For 20 seconds, target foe suffers -1 Health degeneration. The caster is healed for 114 when Parasitic Bond ends.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:2
- Ward Against Melee (Earth Magic)
You create a Ward Against Melee at your current location. For 15 seconds, non-Spirit allies in this area have a 50% chance to block melee attacks.
Energy:15 Cast:1 Recharge:20
- Glyph of Lesser Energy (Energy Storage)
For 15 seconds, your next 2 Spells costs 10 less Energy to cast.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:30
- rez sig
This could help counter the Paragons common in the current metagame.
Although it would be pretty ineffective against the common Expel Paragon.

Hm... Problem is that it's all about the hexes. Which can be easily removed, as you know.
Even so, I think it's worth a shot.

I'd have to disagree with the "easily removed" part of that statement, but in general if hexes aren't being used by more than one character, they don't always prove to be effective.
Also, if we were to use this in place of the AP build, we would lose a significant portion of our damage. I'm not so sure it's a great idea, given the inability to get damage through the defense as it is already.

Agreed.
I would never consider this for the AP. It would definitely have to be swapped for the mez.
