1 necro from Observer mode
Here was a support necro that stayed in the back and kind of took the place of the RC monk.
Skills - OAVEIUV2eMlAWHg6s7oGwvoAIAA
Foul Feast
Enfeeble
Wail of Doom
Rip Enchantment
Envenom Enchantment
Hex Breaker
Rotting Flesh
Res Sig (guessing)
We talked about Wail of Doom and are not sure if we are ready for this on the team. We could replace it with another elite though or maybe even Plague Signet (good synergy) or Tainted Flesh (to stop Toxicity from affecting us).
--- Peleus Dorado (warrior)
Skye Du Loch (necro)
Jhonnie Macdhal (ranger)
Wunder Kid (monk)
Son of Dhal (elementalist)
Spirit of Dhal (rit)

Re: 1 necro from Observer mode
Yeah, the plague sig version is listed in the "great" gvg builds catagory.
Plague sig nec
The plague sig/foul feast combo has excellent synergy.
Good for helping out our RC monk and stressing theirs.

Re: 1 necro from Observer mode
I actually like this idea, especially with the amount of degen, traps etc, that we saw this weekend.

Re: 1 necro from Observer mode
I think this(Plague Sig) deserves some consideration as our missing link.
If we do go this route, Mirror can be taken out and replaced with Hypochondria for added condition application.

Re: 1 necro from Observer mode
Hypochondria sounds like a great addition, but I'm not sure about Hex Breaker on there. Just seems like that slot could be better used. Especially since hex heavy teams aren't that prevalent in the meta-game right now.
Another small consideration is that this build will probably be a little more difficult to play, since it mixes party-bar work with foe-targeting.
But I'd still like to give it a shot.

Re: 1 necro from Observer mode
I know Steve is drooling over the Necro, but he also wont be around this weekend...
Hex Breaker is pretty much solely for Diversion, which would otherwise completely break the build, since it's pretty much all about the Signet.

That's what I was thinking, but I really don't see this build as a big diversion target. I guess I'm assuming the monks are usually the diversion targets.
In all likelihood, you'll only have to use it once or twice, as any decent mez will focus elsewhere once they see their hexes being "broken".
...which is a good thing.

Indeed, Dn is correct on both points. I REALLY want to try this build, and I will not be around this weekend. I gots me a hot date with a red-head!

Re: 1 necro from Observer mode
On the actualy playing of this build-
I think the best way to handle the party-targetting would be for anyone under a stack of conditions to call for a Feast, so the Necro can get the most bang for his buck.
Also, if we have both Warriors and the Ranger on one target, the nearest guy really, really, needs to have Hypochondria on him- so using T and then tabbing once should land you right on him. That way he can share in the Deep Wound, Crippled and Poison, as well as Disease from your own casting.

Re: 1 necro from Observer mode
I played around with this build a bit in ZA.
It's fun, but definitely takes some getting used to.
Actually, I think Foul Feast is a little over-powered, but don't tell anet!
Because of the energy back, and the short recharge, there's no reason to save it until called. You really can spam it with no energy implications. Although party members suffering from a large condition stack should still call for it, making them the priority target.
I recommend that anyone planning on playing this build, take a couple runs through ZA just to get the hang of it.
It took me a while just to get the skill order on the bar tweaked where it worked best for me. That plus getting used to working the party-bar, plus targeting opponents takes a little getting used to.
I really want to see this up against one of those tainted flesh builds.
