GVG Prot Monk Build
Oh yeah I forgot to put up the skill template:
AjJxjh8MT20Ck7a94S/6QGA
Reversal of Fortune
Protection Prayers Enchantment Spell For 8 seconds, the next time target ally would take damage, that ally gains that amount of Health instead, maximum 67. 5 0.25 2
Dismiss Condition
Protection Prayers Spell Remove one Condition from target ally. If that ally is under the effects of an Enchantment, that ally is healed for 63 Health. 5 0.75 3
Guardian
Protection Prayers Enchantment Spell For 5 seconds, target ally has a 44% chance to "block" attacks. 5 1 2
Shield of Absorption
Protection Prayers Enchantment Spell For 6 seconds, damage received by target ally is reduced by 5 each time that ally is hit while under the effects of this Enchantment. 5 1 10
Protective Spirit
Protection Prayers Enchantment Spell For 19 seconds, target ally cannot lose more than 10% max Health due to damage from a single attack or spell. 10 0.25 5
Zealous Benediction
Protection Prayers Elite Spell Heal target ally for 150 Health. If target was below 50% Health, you gain 10 Energy. 10 0.75 4
Extinguish
Protection Prayers Spell Remove one Condition from each party member. Party members relieved of Burning are healed for 82 Health. 15 1 12
Glyph of Lesser Energy
No Attribute Glyph For 15 seconds, your next 2 Spells costs 15 less Energy to cast. 5 1 30
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Attributes Divine Favor 13 (12+1)
Protection Prayers 14 (12+2)
I found extinguish to be useful since it removes multiple conditions and works well with Glyph. You could run Convert Hexes here instead or you could put some additonal condition removal since I find many times discharge might be disabled or recharging. Depends if we have a couple of derv running grenths up front.
Finally, you could drop your divine by two and prot by one point and get a pretty good twitch heal from gift of health instead of extinguish. I ran all three different versions of this build and they are work well depending on your style of play.

Re: GVG Prot Monk Build
If Pyx is bringing his dedicated healing HB build, then maybe we don't need ZB here?
Maybe Divert Hexes or Expel Hexes in there, since it seems we may be quite short on hex removal?

Re: GVG Prot Monk Build
If you take ZB out that really changes the build signigicantly. Plus I don't know that you want only one monk doing direct healing. If so then you would drop ZB and GOLE and put some Mes engergy management skills and hex removal.

Re: GVG Prot Monk Build
Well, you should be getting some healing support from the runner.
But you guys are the monks, whatever you think works best.
I was just a little worried about our limited hex removal.

Re: GVG Prot Monk Build
I think that pure healing build would work well with a Restore Conditions monk, but thats a whole different build. ZB with GoLE is great for energy management and it definitely is good to have at least a heal on the prot monk. Gift of Health would work in place of ZB though if switching elites.
I think the runner currently has Heal Party so I wouldn't be playing the HBHP build, probably something closer to the HB Infuser I posted, though I am planning to switch Infusion for Heal Other.
I think we should stick with what was winning last week and start making changes when needed. Even though we could chalk up the 3 win streak to the time of night and lower level opponents, I still hate changing a winning build until it loses a few times

Re: GVG Prot Monk Build
I agree as well.
I wasn't there last week, and just assumed all this build talk was for proposed changes based on last weeks performance.
That plus the talk of not enough hex removal got me a little nervous.

Re: GVG Prot Monk Build
Might want to take a look at the skill balance that goes into effect Friday. ZB took a hit...

Re: GVG Prot Monk Build
I think Life Sheath would be cool or Restore Conditions. The ZB build probably will still work pretty good even with the double hit to GoLE and ZB though. May need to add an energy management skill in whatever you bring though.
