Melee support smiter
Staring at all the monk skills got me thinking about new builds, and I came up with this.
It's basically a 1/2 damage, 1/2 support role similar to the Party-Bar Rit.
It's got pretty good hex and condition removal, decent damage buffs to warriors, and some supplemental healing.
Would probably be most effective with 3 warriors to buff like we were running in GvG.
Basically put Strength of Honor on all 3 melee, and Smiter's Boon yourself. Judge's Insight would only be used if energy isn't under pressure.
With the Boon up, all smite skills would heal for 83 health.
Monk/Any
Divine Favor: 13 (12+1)
Smiting Prayers: 14 (12+2)
- Signet of Removal [Elite] (Monk other)
If target ally is under the effects of an Enchantment, that ally loses one Hex and one Condition.
Energy:0 Cast:1 Recharge:5
- Reversal of Damage (Smiting Prayers)
For 8 seconds, the next time target ally would take damage, the foe dealing the damage takes that damage instead (maximum 70).
Energy:5 Cast:0.25 Recharge:6
- Smite Condition (Smiting Prayers)
Remove one Condition from target ally. If a Condition was removed, nearby foes take 57 damage.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:7
- Smite Hex (Smiting Prayers)
Remove a Hex from target ally. If a Hex is removed, foes in the area suffer 80 damage.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:12
- Judge's Insight (Smiting Prayers)
For 19 seconds, target ally's attacks deal holy damage and have +20% armor penetration.
Energy:10 Cast:2 Recharge:10
- Smiter's Boon (Divine Favor)
For 30 seconds, your Smiting Prayers have double the Divine Favor bonus.
Energy:5 Cast:0.25 Recharge:10
- Blessed Signet (Divine Favor)
For each Enchantment you are maintaining, you gain 3 Energy (maximum 21).
Energy:0 Cast:2 Recharge:10
- Strength of Honor (Smiting Prayers)
While you maintain this Enchantment, target ally deals 14 more damage in melee.
Energy:10 Cast:2 Recharge:0
Yeah, I know, heavy enchant removal would kill it. But hey, there's a counter to everything.

Re: Melee support smiter
Does anyone know offhand what the Divine Favor heal would e worth in this build?
Using Smite Hex and Smite condition to also heal your target could be interesting, with the Smiter's Boon bonus.

Re: Melee support smiter
By my math it's 83, according to wiki, it's 84.
Either way, it's pretty decent "free" heals.
Another skill that would work pretty well in here is:
Judge's Intervention
For 10 seconds, the next time target ally receives damage that would be fatal, the damage is negated and one nearby foe takes 170 damage.
5/.25/8

Re: Melee support smiter
Wow I didn't notice that had an 8s recharge. That would work great with the Necro Minion Hero build Keith has been running.
