Midline Monk
A potential replacement for the Paragon in the current GvG team build.
Monk/any
Divine Favor: 11 (10+1)
Protection Prayers: 9 (8+1)
Smiting Prayers: 14 (12+2)
- Reversal of Damage (Smiting Prayers)
For 8 seconds, the next time target ally would take damage, the foe dealing the damage takes that damage instead (maximum 70).
Energy:5 Cast:0.25 Recharge:3
- Smite Condition (Smiting Prayers)
Remove one Condition from target ally. If a Condition was removed, foes in the area take 57 holy damage.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:7
- Smite Hex (Smiting Prayers)
Remove a Hex from target ally. If a Hex is removed, foes in the area suffer 80 damage.
Energy:5 Cast:1 Recharge:12
- Judge's Intervention (Smiting Prayers)
For 10 seconds, the next time target ally receives damage that would be fatal, the damage is negated and one nearby foe takes 170 damage.
Energy:5 Cast:0.25 Recharge:8
- open (elite slot)
- Aegis (Protection Prayers)
For 9 seconds, all party members within earshot have a 50% chance to block attacks.
Energy:10 Cast:2 Recharge:30
- Smiters Boon (Divine Favor)
For 30 Seconds, your Smiting Prayers have double the Divine Favor Bonus
Energy:5 Cast:0.25 Recharge:10
- Resurrection Signet ( )
Resurrect target party member. That party member is returned to life with 100% Health and 25% Energy. You may use this Signet only once per mission.
Energy:0 Cast:3 Recharge:0
I still haven't figured out what could be a decent skill for the elite slot. Maybe Signet of Judgement? Good for getting enemy melee off our monks and stopping kiters. Or maybe Balthazar's Pendulum? Although I've never really been crazy about that one. It just doesn't seem worth the elite slot.

Re: Midline Monk
I really don't understand the advantage of running a Monk smiter instead of an Elementalist, except for the small benefit of DF healing. With Elementalist primary, you are able to cast many, many more spells because of Energy Storage.

Re: Midline Monk
On a character that is designed to be primarily defensive, a 70 point heal per RoD cast is a nice bonus. You're healing for 70 and damaging for up to 70, all for 5 energy, as long as Smiter's Boon is maintained.
With that said, I do think the build needs some energy management if it's to be succesful in it's role long-term.

Re: Midline Monk
True. I guess I forgot about the e-management part.
Judge's Intervention would probably be the most likely to swap out. But I'm not sure what it would be. Glyph doesn't really make sense because most skills are 5 energy.
Of course it's possible there's an elite e-management skill that would fit here.
...maybe Defender's Zeal?
