e-denial mez - take 2
I went through all the mesmer skills, and this is pretty much the most energy denial you can get without using interrupts.
(like I said, I like e-denial )
Mesmer/any
Level: 20
Fast Casting: 7 (6+1)
Inspiration Magic: 14 (12+2)
Domination Magic: 14 (11+3)
- Energy Surge [Elite] (Domination Magic)
Target foe loses 8 Energy. For each point of Energy lost, that foe and all nearby foes take 10 damage.
Energy:10 Cast:1.54 Recharge:20
- Energy Burn (Domination Magic)
Target foe loses 8 Energy and takes 10 damage for each point of Energy lost.
Energy:10 Cast:1.54 Recharge:20
- Signet of Weariness (Domination Magic)
Target foe and all nearby foes lose 8 Energy.
Energy:0 Cast:2 Recharge:30
- Price of Pride (Domination Magic)
For 19 seconds, the next time target foe uses an elite Skill, that foe loses 7 Energy.
Energy:5 Cast: 1.54 Recharge:8
- Ether Phantom (Inspiration Magic)
For 10 seconds, target foe has -1 Energy degeneration. If this Hex is removed prematurely, that foe loses 5 Energy.
Energy:5 Cast:0.77 Recharge:10
- Drain Delusions (Inspiration Magic)
Remove one Mesmer Hex from target foe. If a Hex was removed in this way, that foe loses 5 Energy and you gain 2 Energy for each point lost.
Energy:5 Cast:0.19 Recharge:10
- Feedback (Inspiration Magic)
Target foe loses one Enchantment. If an Enchantment is removed in this way, that foe also loses 10 Energy.
Energy:10 Cast:1.54 Recharge:30
- Resurrection Signet ()
Resurrect target party member. That party member is returned to life with 100% Health and 25% Energy. You may use this Signet only once per mission.
Energy:0 Cast:3 Recharge:0
It's a guaranteed 34 energy drained, with a potential to be 51. Of course it could be split between 2 monks to speed up the plan of pressuring our opponents to the breaking point.
But if you've completely tapped one monk, the other is going to have a heck of a time keeping up.
Granted, there will be a bit of downtime after the first wave, but that will give you some time to kite once they realize what you've done and focus on you.

I can see where this would make you VERY unpopular in Randoms.

I'd never try this in randoms. Without a competent monk on your team, this build would get smacked down quick!

Re: e-denial mez - take 2
How about replacing Price of Pride with Ether Fiend? Just wondering how it would work. Some builds might not use their Elite as a spam skill. *shrug* I usually don't when I monk.
However that Ether Fiend - 1 energy degen, and Energy Burn if it gets removed prematurely could be nice.

Re: e-denial mez - take 2
I'm assuming you're referring to Ether Phantom, which is already there.
The Ether Phantom/Drain Delusions combo will drain 10 energy for free.
