Auspicious Nightmare
The 13 Jun 07 updates should make this a build to be reckoned with.
Migraine (E) / Crippling Anguish (E)
Images of Remorse
Illusion of Pain
Conjure Nightmare
Auspicious Incantation [5/1/25] Enchantment Spell.
For 20 seconds, the next spell you cast is disabled for an additional 10...6 seconds, and you gain 110...182% of that spell's Energy cost.
Power Return
Mantra of Persistence
Rez
For this build to work, you'll need an energy pool of roughly 70 or so, a Radiant set of armour with a +15/-1 offhand. Because it's very frontloaded, and uses AI, energy regen is not a big deal. Or simply keep a high-energy set for switching with your regular weapon, just before you're about to AI.
Before you do anything, get Mantra of Persistence up.
Migraine + IoR on a caster target will get them to -6 degen, and of course slow their casting.
Find the called target (which should not be the Migrained mob), and hit it with Illusion of Pain. -10 degen for 18 seconds, with a big heal if the hex ends early. -10 for 18 seconds is a lot of degen, and this is the target being beaten up. While doing that, drop a Nightmare on one of the off-targets (-8 degen, 25 seconds). You should now have roughly 30ish mana, which is what you want in order to cast Auspicious Incantation and another Nightmare, refunding about 46 energy, and bringing you back into the 50s.

Re: Auspicious Nightmare
You could use Phantom Pain or Accumulated Pain with Illusion of Pain to cut the heal at the end by 33%.

Re: Auspicious Nightmare
The beauty of Illusion of Pain is that it's duration outlasts the recharge, so you can keep it from ending until the target is dead- therefore no need for the deep wound.
I've messed around with a combo of these same degen skills and they are impressive, to say the least. I prefer going the Inspsiration route for my energy management though, using Power Drain and Energy Tap insted of AI.
With the increased durations, I'm not too sure you'd even need Mantra of Persistence either, unless you are facing a super-high level mob.

Re: Auspicious Nightmare
Except the Deep Wound makes the Degen go faster. Don't forget that.
