Re: Dervish Monks
Don't forget that you also get the 70AL out of this build.
Are we going to run these builds on Saturday? It is a maybe. I think that we have gained a comfort level with the builds and can run them effectively. We have proven that they work solo in RA. I actually went three consecutive each lasting over 6 minutes with mylself as the lone healer. So I was definately able to heal and keep healing even through some sin spikes.

Re: Dervish Monks
They are on the list of things I'd like to try out. As Turgar said we were both running them in RA, but the real synergy is in playing them together and being responsible for healing other players. Really need to test them out in GVG to get a feel for them. I think the fact that they are effective when standing alone is really a good sign for how they should play when together.

Re: Dervish Monks
Plus I want to run a GVG build with no monk primaries and win with it.

Might want to consider Blessed Insignia's on the armor too, since you'll usually have an enchant on you.
An 80AL monk... nice!

I like that goal.
Let's not forget to get a screenshot of that one!

Re: Dervish Monks
This weekend is going to be a bit of a mixed bag. Why not try them Saturday?

The trade off is basically 30-40hp per skill (Divine Favor Bonus) for +15hp +5energy per enchantment that ends. As long as we are healing enough to keep folks alive, this trade off should be well worth the gain in E-management.
Maybe i overlook something, but the whole energy management relies on casting the enchants on yourself or your dervish partner. So what if they target anyone else? Sure, Imbue Health is like Infuse without the drawback of loosing health, but, well, i see no energy income nor management for pressure on team members. At the moment i just don't get it.
The idea works very good, if anyone could bring partywide enchants. Emo with Aegis/ Glyph or an Order would be perfect. THIS would be perfect for this concept. I'm not up to date with our current GvG-setup. Maybe this is already the idea / case ?

Re: Dervish Monks
Well, it comes down to the players being smart with their heals as well. I mean, they have the same 4 energy regen that monks do. The only difference is their armor gives them five less energy. They can run a staff like anyone else if they need that +10 energy mid match. And they're harder to spike down with having 10 more armor, base, plus whatever they have for insignias. And the camouflage bit. Monks are recognizable. Other classes that heal are not.
Just heal smart, relax, and know when you actually need to heal, and when you can let something slide for a bit.

Re: Dervish Monks
We tried them out this weekend and pretty much everything you said is exactly true Nemren. Need more enchants being thrown around to make these builds really work. Orders would help the most, Aegis as well, both running would be ideal. They are good with the right teambuild to take advantage of the energy gain from Mysticism.
