Troll Farming
Here's a link to a good article on how to farm trolls outside of Droknar's Forge using a Wa/Mo:

It's a very cheap and easy way to get more money...I haven't perfected it yet, and only have basic equipment for my Warrior, but I can pull in about 5 plat per hour using this technique. Once I get a little faster I imagine I'll be able to pull in closer to 10 plat per hour.

That is actually something I may try. I'm not a big fan of farming; I have a trapping ranger that I haven't done much with after setting up and I got tired of tombs after not waiting around to sell the greens. But I may have to spend a little time and give this a try.

Let me know if you see me online and you want a guided tour of the troll cave! This has become my favorite spot, and is making tons of money for me now. I'm now averaging about 6-7 plat and one skill point per hour...plus the satisfaction of killing a mob of 15 trolls all at the same time!
Here's a couple tips I've picked up:
- Salvage the raven staffs and normal bows for wood (normal salvage kit). Take the wood to the guy outside Sardelac Sanitarium and convert it to parchment, then sell the parchment for 60-70 gp each.
- Identify WHITE items to get a higher resale value; pick up and sell everything
- Collect the shiverpeak keys that drop. Every once in a while there will be a chest on your farming route that you can use.
- Save the mountain troll tusks. You can take these to a trader in snake dance and convert 5 into a weapon that you can sell for 125 gp. That averages out to 25 gp per tusk as opposed to 8 if you sell to a merchant.
- Don't bother with the bosses...by the time you kill one you could have done the whole route all over again.
- If you are looking for a good shield this is the place, I get a lot of max. def shields with pretty good mods dropping.

I have tried troll farming a couple times now and have just one question: Besides that first group near the enterance and a group of 3 a little further in, are there usuallky more groups that do not have a boss in them? I have found it so much easier to just take out the groups without bosses.

Usually there's one large group when you first get in the cave. Next I tend to pul 2-3 stragglers to the right to join up with a group around 1 boss...I kill everything but the boss. Then, leave the boss and go back across to where there is another boss with 2-5 trolls...again I kill everything but the boss. I'll generally not even target the boss...just ignore them and they won't be able to hurt you very much. You just need to be careful to cast from behind bonettis or glads defense so they can't interrupt your axe move and leave you without a way to refil your health quickly.
