Hm... Is there a way to feed the stats into the first post? I see there are XML & RSS feeds, but is there just some HTML code? I ask because I think way too much about stuff & so I'm always worried about which link to click.

I'd say just keep clicking population for now, until either unemployment rises, or we unlock another tier, then do the same. Keep trying to build population while not losing stats on anything else.
