Question about laptops Anyone know anything about Qosmio laptops? My daughter is looking for a laptop and just sent me a text asking if I knew anything about them. I've never heard of them, thought maybe someone here has.

Re: Question about laptops I still have my laptop and it is a Toshiba. Qosmio is a stepup from mine, I have an X205.
Generally video cards are a few steps down from what their M name states, so a 9800M is actually a little slower than a 9600 for example. I have a 8700M which is about on par with an 8300.
Other than that all depends on what she wants to use it for, 5400 drives are a little slower, but also if it will be running on a battery will give it more life.
Is she looking for a desktop replacement or something she can tote around? I can answer some limited questions, note mine has an HD-DVD player on it so my judgement is suspect
